Hi Mike: We're here to root for you! emoticon

4 Noble Truths

1. Suffering is a part of life
2. Suffering is caused by our attachments and avoidances.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.

Bigotry disguised as morality is still bigotry just as an outhouse with
marble columns is still an outhouse.

Hey all...

New member on the board thought I should come in and introduce myself.

I started dieting for real about 3 years ago when I was weighing in at 300lbs. I managed to get down to 219lbs before I hit some pretty rough times (you know, hospital, breakup, school stress, etc.) In about a year I regained a lot of that weight. I weighed in again at 282lbs before I started to make some changes, but still not enough. I am now weighing in at about 271lbs. I truly have forgotten how to motivate myself to lose weight. I want to, but it just hasn't been enough this time.

I really hope for success this time and I sure hope that I learned my lesson about falling off track. I have a lot of work to do and I could use all the help I can get.

Aside from all of that, I am a college student working on my teaching certificate.
