CONGRATS to everyone!
I have been on and off tracking on SP for most of last year but it started clicking with me after I left for India last summer. So I re-dedicated myself and lost close to 20lbs!
It's hard work but totally WORTH it!

Cannot believe a whole year is gone and I am still sparking! I have never stuck with anything this long. My weight loss has come to a standstill, but I am still hanging in there. I see a lot of positive changes in my attitude towards food. I still write down every bit I eat; sometimes on the tracker and sometimes just in my notebook. I find this helps me more than anything. I also PAY ATTENTION to when and what I am eating, rather than just mindlessly stuffing food into my mouth.
I spend a lot of time on SP reading articles and blogs, etc., but I am still very poor at blogging myself or commenting on messages. I still have not learned to like exercise. I limit mine to walking, golf, and Tai Chi. Once in awhile I do lift the dumbbells.
I am hopeful that I am on the way to a new, healthy lifestyle.

It's been a good year. I've not lost much weight (except to gain it back) but I'm not where I was when I joined so that's not bad. It's been a learning experience. I've been brave to blog and make friends and put myself out there and I have to believe that all these things have had an impact on my journey to healthier eating. I've tried running and will again (after I heal and the weather is once more bearable). Even though I continue to be very inconsistent, I've become more consistent for longer periods of time. Just this week people have begun to say "You've lost weight, haven't you?" And I want to say, "Yep! The same weight I always lose and invite back!" But I feel a bit more empowered to not get back to my high weight again. Thanks all!

I can't believe it has been a year either! I lost the original 22 pounds I set out to lose and seem to be at a plateau. Would like to lose another 5-12 which would be a 100 pound loss over a period of two years. I have learned a lot on SP and have definitely undergone lifestyle changes. I came off of blood pressure and cholesterol medications. I am a little discouraged because my most recent blood pressure was up and my LDL was slightly elevated. I walk an hour every day, do yoga 5-7 days a week and faithfully track my nutrition, fitness and goals. The thing that is missing is my strength training which I was doing 3 times a week and just can't seem to get myself to go to the gym. I am very happy with the results I have achieved and have learned so much from SP. It is worth its weight in gold. Congrats to others who have had success as well. Cindy

A whole year!! Wow!! It has been amazing what changes have happened during the last year! I started here in March but officially started my eating lifestyle change with the Dtour diet in January, two months before. I have lost 119.5 lbs in that 14 months and am 1.5 lbs from goal!! My diabetes doesn't show up in my blood work and I am off my blood pressure meds for the first time in over 20 years! And the exercise...whoda thunk it!!?? Sparkpeople has been a wonderful support for the last year!!!!

I agree! It's been an awesome year! I have completed 5K's that I would never had done before. I am walking a marathon and a 1/2 for breast cancer! Things I would never have accomplished or thought about with out Spark people! I feel blessed that this site is here for us!!! Congrats on your accomplishments this year!!

I second that! Yesterday I realized that it had been a year...wow. I haven't lost as much weight as I hoped to but I've gained so much knowledge and so much peace. When I started I was always mad at myself for being heavy and not knowing how to fix it. Now I have the tools and I use them. I continually lose and sometimes back slide and gain. But I get back on track which is great. In this year I've lost 30 pounds and haven't gained it back. This is better than I was a year ago. I am healthier and happier. My plan is to keep going with it.

This is the week we should all be celebrating our Sparkaversary!! Just wanted to wish you all a Happy one and much success in the coming year!!! It has been an awesome experience to be a part of this site for a year! I am looking forward to many many more as a healthy fit person!!!
