I drank my water and I treated myself to a mini fudge bar, allowing myself to recognise that it was ok to have a small treat

I love raw carrots. I need to eat more of them. Also cucumbers, broccoli and radishes. I hate celery.

Two things I did right today are drink 8 oz. of light fruit juice and chose wheat bread for my sandwich.

I went to Costco and went right past all of the grazing stations. I only purchase veggies, fruits and cleaning supplies (somethings will never change). I even talked my husband into yogurt for lunch snacks instead of candy bars. I feel like I left there making good choices. It was the best feeling in the world! emoticon

I stuck to my diabetic diet to the letter! It has been a while since I have done that.
But, I was so tired and weak that I did my 10 minutes of exercize in 2 different times. Some days are like that for me. emoticon

I walked the golf course with my husband.

Just for today I will try to live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problem all at once. I can do something for 12 hours that would appall me if I felt I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

got some cardio in, even though I had every excuse in the book!

I even sat in my workout clothes, shoes laced and everything, for 45 minutes watching TV thinking of how much i didn't want to exercise!

but I did it =)

I have a whole bag of haribo in my desk drawer as mini treats for my students. Not only did I not eat any today, but I'm working on a healthier treat for them (although not sure that they'll want to give up haribo for other treats with vitamins and minerals... emoticon )

Way to go with the coffee LITTLEGUYSMOM1. I gave up my 2 cups of coffee with loads of sugar and cream today! Instead I made my children and I low calorie fruit smoothies with no sugar added, and we all loved them! I am now finishing off my first bottle of water for the day. Still craving the coffee but feeling very proud of myself.

I'm giving up my sugary coffee (3tbs each x 3 cups!) I'm down to 1 cup and using 1 stevia packet. I've been drinking my water in place of the coffee and so far, no bad side effects from caffeine withdrawal.

I passed up Ice Cream! Can you believe it?? (my blog page tells about it)
And, I danced tonight. I don't own fitness equipment in my home, and the gym was closed, and it's too dark out to walk. So I did what I could. I put the headphones on with the IPod, and danced like an uncoordinated fool.
But I sweated, and I got to log it! It all counts!

I DO sweat the small stuff, because incremental change is far more powerful and lasting than any instant-gratification scheme.

What you dwell on is what you give power to.

I have been having a really hard time lately because I just ended a 3 year relationship about 3 weeks ago. So, I have been really down and not motivated in the least to do anything but sleep and eat and eat and eat. So, I have been forcing myself to get online, log in to SP and keep myself going. I used to work out 6 days a week and was 17 lbs lighter. Which getting to that point was a struggle because I at one time weighed 227 lbs. I got down to 150lbs with lots and lots and lots of hard work. But I have let it all slip. I forced myself to workout this weekend even though I really, truly did not want to. And, I did not get the rush as I usually do, but I did it anyway. So, I guess I needed to share that with someone. So, I did. Thanks for reading.

I usually have a lazy Sunday morning, but today before I allowed myself to have my lazy time I did a 65 minute cardio workout. Hopefully tomorrow I will be posting saying that I got up early to workout! That is my goal but I am afraid i will just hit snooze on my alarm!

Today I tried my best to eat healthy. I'm having a REALLY hard time with chocolate...partly because its seems to be offered every place I go, like my parents house, etc.

I made sure that the only chocolate available to me in my house is WW 1 pt chocolate mints that are like Peppermint Patties. I think that is a step in the right direction.

I actually did a full warm up before my weight lifting. I've always been worried about doing it because I didn't want to run out of energy. Even though warm up is usually a quick 10 min, I try to conserve as much as possible! But today not only did I do a 10min warm up and stretch, I did my usual amount of weight lifting plus some minutes. :D

After sitting on the couch for the entire day (reading a very good book, couldn't get away), I made myself get up and go on a 3 mile run! Feeling great right now!

The kids got a pepperoni pizza for lunch---it looked sooooooo good---but I ate my (reasonably portioned) grilled chicken salad w/no dressing, thank you very much!!! emoticon

This morning our water was turned off (fixing leak at corner), so it's donuts for breakfast. I resisted and had a slice of leftover pizza instead. Calories saved: 540! emoticon

Life is good, I had a party last night, decided to serve a salad bar and fruit, someone brought lasagna and brownies. Ugh. So anyway, I didn't eat brownies! And I did pretty well, I stayed within my calorie range and feel really strong.

I made the cherry fluff recipe for dessert, modified a bit (fat free whipped topping, can of tart cherries, can of pineapple chunks, box of black cherry jello and a few chopped nuts). Absolutely yummy dessert - and very healthy, too! Also, got myself off the couch and exercised - both the elliptical and recumbent bike. A good start!

I did my cardio/weight training today. The kids joined in and it was a lot of fun. And I found a new exercise/dance on Exercise TV-Bollywood dance! Lots of fun and energy!

What did I do right today?

I walked the girls to school this morning, got the dishes put away and washed all the towels and sheets. OK, so it's not all food/fitness related, but I tend do not want to do it. It's 1:30PM and I'm all done! Maybe I'll join hubby and walk to school this afternoon with him to pick up the girls.

Good for you, Jackie! I drink water too, but can never seem to get in all 64 ozs. What I did right today was go to the gym for the 5th day in a row & walk my dog. I didn't want to go, but managed almost an hour there.

What I did right today was join Spark & I made it to the gym for the fourth day in a row after taking my dog for a long walk. I was really low on energy & didn't want to go, but I did anyway! Go me! :-)

okay seriously I wanted to celebrate, My daughter wanted McD's after Karate, so I drove thru and only got her food, I never got anything from me, I just came home and made my own healthy dinner!
btw, she gets a plan hamburger and only eats the meat and a happy meal size fries and white milk (not that bad of a choice for a 7 year old, I should have that restraint.
