Completed Day 8 cardio. Ate together as a family, though we usually do this as standard practice most nights of the week.

I was surprised too about having a brand new set of exercises for week 2. I was able to do all of them (with a bit of modification for my 65 yr. old body) lol - but it was terrific and I'm looking forward to today's workout.

Day 8 done! I had thought we were only going to get 1 week's worth of workouts and then just repeat them for 4 weeks. I love that we're still getting new ones! Extra motivation in the morning to see what's up for the day!

My weigh-in is tomorrow. I can't wait!!

Yay! I did Day 8 yesterday and it was FUN! Had no idea the video was going to be a "jumping around" video:) My favorite form of exercise. I think I shall favorite it and do it again sometime. It definitely had my heart pumping though!

Hey RFTABAL, congrats on losing 9 lbs since 1/3! That's amazing! I have only lost .5 lbs. since the beginning of this challenge:( Been on a plateau for a month or two and it's pretty sad, actually. Well, that's my reason for joining this Bootcamp! To lose more weight and tone up at the same time! Hope it works for both of us!

Good luck to everyone!

It’s official. I lost 9 lbs since 1/3. The big change for me was giving up drinking spirits in the evenings. Alcohol stifled my weight loss all last year.

I can't BELIEVE how difficult it was in today's challenge. The exercise--which I thought would be such a problem has been fine. While married & when kids lived at home, we ALWAYS ate at the kitchen/DR table w/o TV, computer, phones. Since divorce, I didn't realize how much I eat in front of TV or computer. Today's challenge was an eye-opener, & I vow to eat my meals at my little table, even if all by my little ol' self. emoticon

Went on an hour stroll w/ a friend with a friend who told me I should be fine walking even thigh I'm sick. I'm glad I did something but I should have kept it at 20 min max! Hopefully after sleep I will feel much better tomorrow.

Once I put in what I ate and saw how many calories are in bacon, I realized that I should not be eating that.... WOW!!!! I had no idea! I am so shocked! Now, I am glad I did all that walking today! I just hope it was enough to burn off everything that I ate!

Day 8 video emoticon

That was after a 30 minute Cathe cardio workout. I find the one-legged hops useful for increasing ankle strength and stability.

I ate breakfast and lunch properly, seated at a table, but dinner was in front of the tv.

I don't think I'll be able to do boot camp this week - I'm traveling in a hotel for work so don't have access to a ball/weights. I'm disappointed because I did all 7 workouts last week, but am hoping to make up for it by doing an hour on the treadmill walking/jogging here at the hotel to make up for the meals out.

Day 8 - done! I did the jumping video. Sunday is also a cardio day for me, so I did a 20-minute walk and the SparkPeople New You Boot Camp Day 1 Cardio Kickboxing video. I also did my post-week 2 100 push-up, 200 sit-up and 200 squats trials, which resulted in 13 push-ups, 41 squats, and about 60 crunches.

Hooray for day nine!

I did that ridiculously difficult jumping video again. I hate that it is so hard! (because I should be in better shape) Not sure whether I could notice any improvement yet in my ability to do the one-legged hopping, but I have definitly decided that I'm not even going to TRY to do one legged hops from side to side until I can hop up and down in place without the need to hold something for support. ((stupid left knee.... grumble, grumble...))

Did the video. It wasa little easier this week. I actually did some of the one legged jumps and kept up with a lot of the higher intensity exercises in the other parts. If we do this every week, I am hoping that I can do the whole thing up to the high level by the end of the month.

Went out for dinner with my husband and some friends so we definitely ate at a table with real silverware etc. This is something I normally do anyway for lunch and dinner even if we don't go out.

did the video so that I would not have to play catch up...again! Missed Friday (underestimated the amount of driving and supervising of kids I would have to do) so Saturday day I did all of Friday's workouts plus the Saturday abs. Whew! I would like to NOT have to do that again!

This jumping video really kicks me in the tush! I look forward to the day when it is pretty easy to complete!

Did the 10 min video, mostly did the low-impact since I have a bad knee (fell down some stairs about 5 yrs ago and hurt it) and jumping/hopping really makes it hurt.

Gonna try and remember to eat at the table for dinner. Just me and the kids, hubby went over to a friends house.

Did the 10 minute video this morning. Still had difficulty getting through it, but felt like I was able to do more. Haven't done my long cardio yet (but am going to in about 15 minutes). Totally forgot about eating my supper at the table (I usually eat it in front of the computer, which is a really bad habit. I'm glad I'm forced to eat at a table when at school). But I did eat breakfast at the table this morning, thanks to the fact that the heater is right there. :P

Day 8...done! I have a hard time with the hopping in the video too, so I had to go back to stepping, but I did finish and also got 50 more minutes of cardio in today too. I also ate my dinner at the table instead of in front of the TV, that is a change for me. Keep up the great work everyone!

I was NOT looking forward to this workout!! It's not getting easier yet...I don't hop on one foot, so I zigzag jog instead. I managed 3 times, but I am wiped!!

I agree, this video is a challenge. I have trouble with the hopping myself! Last week I actually pulled a muscle in my foot, go figure.

We usually eat as a family at least 1 time/day, often breakfast and dinner. Today we had a big family lunch, tried for breakfast but my DD couldn't get downstairs in time.

I was good and ate at the table for all 3 meals with no tv or computer (I'm really bad at doing both).

Wow! Day 8 done. But I tell you, this workout is not getting any easier for sure. But I did it as best I could along with my regular weight training and cardio. Now on to dinner at the table. Keep on keepin on gang! You are doing great!

Day 8 complete! emoticon

I usually eat at the table anyway because otherwise I'm having to monitor the dogs and eating becomes too much work. They know it is no okay to jump or beg at the table but they think the couch is somehow okay.

I sit at the table everyday to have breakfast and dinner. I am now tackling turning the TV off, while I eat.

We almost always eat our meals at the table and I do think that helps. Unfortunately we are all munchers which we don't do at the table. I did the video for today in bits. This is the only one I struggle with, because I have joint problems and it really hurts them. I did the crossing the rope back and forth several times through out the day rather than doing the jumping.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

wow keep up the good work ladies.

I have now gotten my family on track with eating together at the table. It has changed our family so much. We are a blended family and I only wish I would have done this sooner.

DAY 8 DONE and continuing. Jumping hurts my ankle though. Gee ya think it has to do with the weight!! In time. I also did the whole 5 videos of tae bo with Billy Banks. whoooooo. It feels goooooddddddd.

Eating at the table with the family. If you haven't adapted to that initially, it is a hard routine to get into, but yes well worth it. We do it maybe 3 times a week. Should be more though. In time. The other great thing is Sunday dinner. I grew up with that. We always looked forward to it. I think I will do that right now. Ciao! Keep it going.
