Did the workout video and had trouble with the tricep dips. Felt good overall. Went out for a thirty minute walk this afternoon in light rain. In the past, I probably would have used the rain as an excuse not to go. I think I actually walked faster today because of it. A great reminder that if we choose to use obstacles as challenges rather than road blocks we can succeed.

Day 6----DONE!!! Had to modify and do triceps dips on the wieght bench, but hey, I DID them---and for the first time ever!!!! Cardio---walked 2 1/4 miles. No caffeine today---only h2o and green tea!

I think my arms will let me know about this video tomorrow - it was a good challenge - I hope it's one way to reduce the "jiggle".

I didn't the video before work. It was a little difficult for me to do the exercise where you put the ball behind your back. I guess my arms are too short and my back is too chubby.
I was able to squeeze in my cardio at work. I got in a 30 minute walk!

hey i did my video today also had a hard time puting the ball behind my back but tryed very hard and got it done. still need to do mmy cardio. last night i did 2miles on the tredmill (40min) i was quite happy. so far i have walked 7 miles on that treadmill. most work that tredmill has done since we bought it about 3 yaers ago!!

emoticon cleaned the house, walked the dogs, fed the many plants in & outdoors, packed up the Christmas decorations, up & down the stairs, did the sparkie video, crunches, hip flexors, bridges, dumbbell workouts, walked, moved/carried boxes, oh my I'm missing something.... ate fairly well too.

I did Day Six video today. I too had problems with the ball behind my back, and I just did what one of the others did and used my 2lb. weights for that part.

Day 6 - done! I did the boot camp video twice and rode my exercise bike at 14mph for 30 minutes. Plus stretching and cool down time.

Food-wise, I probably ate too much dinner, but it's okay. It was mostly vegetables and tofu so it can't be all bad, right?

Let's go! Day seven! Woo hoo!

I had a tough time holding the ball behind my back. I kept dropping it. But did the video and 30 minutes on the treadmill. I'm still sore from previous workouts! LOL

Now I know my ball is too big. I could not get it behind my back and still hold on to it. Of course its the ball and not my arms. It was also a challenge to find a wall that I could place the ball against. But I was up to the challenge and finished the video. I beginning to like that ball.
As for the caffeine, I had just decided to give up my source of caffeine-ice tea three days before. So, challenge met.

Day 6 video done - I modified the pushups so that my shins were on the ball and my hands on the floor.

Limiting caffeine isn't an issue as I never drink coffee, and prefer caffeine-free diet soda.

I cut my caffeine intake by 50 percent today.

Fridays are hard for me to fit in exercise, so I didn't get the video done. I did some brisk walking, but not quite enough for the cardio. Since Fridays are very busy for me, I usually get an extra coffee before I begin my shift, but I didn't do that this morning. So I did it a little backwards, doing the bonus challenge instead of the Bootcamp. Saturdays are much more flexible for me, so I'm planning on doing today's Bootcamp tomorrow.

Success. Was totally worried about the video since I had issues with my exercise ball with the abs one, but did well. Totally felt my muscles working on the lifts. Also played Your Shape for 30 minutes. What a workout there. :) Optional challenge was easy for me since I really don't get any caffeine unless I want a sugar catch from a frappe, which I don't get on breaks anyways. :P But yeah, a great day.

Video, Cardio DONE....I don't drink caffienated drinks so the challenge wasn't really a challenge for me but I succeeded by default.

Cardio and upper body met my goal. Unfortunately, I didn't see the challenge until late in the day so I did have my afternoon boost. I have been enjoying doing the exercise and everything, and have lost weight this week, but feel kind of moody. Been drinking my water, and getting my calories in my range, but I just feel plain "yuck" I feel great right after I exercise, but then it is like I crash. Anybody have any ideas.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Hi all!
Nice to see everyone is doing well with the bootcamp:) Did the workout today (and then some!), but didn't fare well with limiting my caffeine intake. I actually had *more* than I usually do, to be honest. It's made me feel all jittery and kinda irritable. It's crappy because I just know that it will make my insomnia worse. Well, I wish everyone luck over the weekend!

I'm the same as HOPENJ16 - my arms were already sore from shoveling snow this week Had to turn that first exercise into a squat with the arm raise due to my low ceiling, but that just ups the burn so no prob with that. Great routine - really different.

Day 6 done I do two sets cause the first one I dont feel it.Now I am going to do my cardio workout.

My arms were already pretty sore from snow shoveling the past couple of days, but got through the workout. I actually had trouble with the first exercise because our ceilings are so low!

Have done my Upper body ball and it felt great on my arms- followed it up with upper body workout exercises and cardio for 30 min... Have stayed with this all week and I'm feeling great. Sharon

All done - enjoyed the video today, there is so much you can do with that ball!! Also had a 2 mile walk at lunch and Curves Smart workout on way home.

Caffeine challenge was an easy one for me as I avoid it anyway - always drink decaf and don't drink soda.

Did 30min. on the elliptical

Caffeine-no problem...I drink decaf coffee and tea

With the video I had a little problem with the ball when trying to hold onto and stoop down...just didn't work for me. I do much better with a chair on that one.

I got Day 6 behind me!! The tricep exercise where you hold the ball behind you was really challenging. I felt the burn in my triceps afterwards!! I love the pushup on the stability ball. I always thought the stability ball was mainly for ab exercises. Today I was proven wrong!!

Did it! I did 40 minutes on the elliptical followed by the video and stretching. Does anybody else have too little space in front of their computer to actually do the videos? I can manage to march in place or jump and lie down for floor exercises, but forget bringing the ball in! I have been watching the video a couple of times, writing down the exercises, and doing them in my workout area in the basement.

As for the challenge- I cut out almost all caffeine 9 1/2 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, so I guess I'm already there!

Video done, had some trouble with it though. Just could not get a hold of that ball behind me, much less raise it. But I TRIED!

Caffeine - haven't been drinking any for a while, so this one was easy.

Off to do my Wii Active for today!
