Well, here in Greece it sure seems that the warm days are here to stay for a while. Iím not happy as I hang out the clothes in the summer and in the winter just power through with a horrible dryer. (Really horrible but it does the job Ė after some hours). We are a family of exercisers. Soccer, gym, long walks, swims, hikes, and yes, those ďdangerous sports in the sunĒ such as kayaking, paddles and spending too long on the beach.
I just wanted to remind us ladies the importance of sunscreen on ourselves. I canít even count the times Iíve seen Momís land with a few kids at the beach, get all the lotion on the kids, get the chairs, towels, waters, fruits and toys all arranged, only to lay back in exhaustion and forget to protect her own body with sun tan lotion.

I used to do this too when my children were younger.

I know we all know the dangers of too much sun exposure, but just want to remind us here on Spark to make sure you take care of your body and face. If you don't feel like spreading a gooey oil all over your face invest in a product by Avene or one of the others that have quality facial protection. Then, if you want....invest in a hat! It's so fun to wear a fun, funky, sexy or plain hat at the beach. It reminds me of the "good old days." I have two hats, one for "only beach use" and one with a pretty ribbon around it.

As I had a friend with skin cancer, I just want to share. I know you all know this! Just a friendly reminder. I'd love to read of your skin-care for the sun tips.

be well, Julie
