I went to the gym this week, even though every part of my body feels like it weighs 1000 pounds. I wish I was back in Kos, so that I could at least swim in the sea, it's the only thing that seems to invigorate me.

I started exercising with a personal trainer 3 weeks ago and things have been going great. We're meeting 3 times a week for an hour and we do jogging/walking for about 30 min and then strength training at home with a ball and elastic bands. To be honest, it's nothing I couldn't have done myself with some help from SP videos but having someone cheering you on is so much different. Plus the fact that I'm paying her keeps me on track!
This week I'm having some family problems (health issues) and I need to stay at home with my 10-month old, so exercising has been pushed back a bit. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track next week!
SHould we start a mini-challenge (food or exercise) here on the team?

I've been very good at doing my 10,000
Steps every day. After I finish jury duty this
Week I will join the local gym. Our school's
principal has paid a membership joining fee
of $330 and all staff can use it. The cost to us
is only$25 a fortnight, so I think I can afford that.
There is a heated indoor and an outdoor pool. I am

I've managed to get my rear to the gym 3 days (and in a row) last week, even though it was Holy Week and I did all the baking for my family. Thursday, Friday, Saturday I had to slack because of sheer exhaustion, but today, when my husband gets home, I hope to get back for a swim and some leg work.

I always hated running since I was a kid. Hated it in school, was always last around the track. I still can't say what flipped the switch, but I decided to give it a try again and found that I love it. I started with Jeff Galloway's run/walk/run method and that made a HUGE difference.

Last Saturday I completed my first 5K with no walking breaks and I am now in training for my first half marathon. The boost to my mood and energy level from running is incredible and I can't imagine my life without it!

What are your exercise goals and what steps are you taking to reach them?

I am by nature a "walker" but have decided to add a few minutes of running to my fitness routine. I am very excited about this challenge -- for indeed for me it is a challenge.

Tell me about your challenges!! I'd love to hear them.
