I linked mine about a week after purchasing it. So far, so good. I like that I only have to track food on SP and it goes to Fitbit.

If you link your Fitbit to SparkPeople, any food you log in SP will transfer to your Fitbit app. These are the instructions for linking to SP:

To connect a device or app to your SparkPeople account:
Roll your mouse over "My Trackers" in the top left corner of the screen.
Click on "My Fitness."
You'll now see your Fitness Tracker page.
Scroll to the bottom of your Fitness Tracker page and click on "Connect Devices/Apps," which is located under Tools & Settings.
Click the "Connect" button listed next to the device/app that you would like to connect.
Fill in the login information for your device/app .
Click the button to login/sign in.
Your device/app will now be connected to your SparkPeople account and will start syncing automatically.

I just got a new FB Flex after losing my SPAT. I synced it to my Sparkpeople but am confused as to where I will see my information posted. I've only walked little since syncing it but I'm not seeing any steps only calories burned. It's listed under my Spark Activity Tracker. Is this accurate? Can anyone help me out.

I'm totally lost without my Sparky!!!!

Someone gave me a fitbit Charge HR over the weekend and after playing around with it and deciding I like it, I linked it to my SP account. Works perfectly, except I am still carrying a linking Spark Tracker so of course it is doubling up on everything it is detecting (and the Fitbit is showing more activity and calories burned).

Have to see if a friend wants my Spark, don't think I need both.

I have a feeling the Fitbit dashboard is including the BMR in the calorie burn because it reads much higher than the all day activity that my Fitbit shows on Spark. I use the SP calorie counts to determine if I'm track and only rely on my Fitbit to track my steps and daily activity.

Wondering how accurate the calories burned really is. I can't believe that my daily routine at work (I am in retail, walking on the sales floor all day) and a 30 min cardio routine allows me another 1400 calories to my food tracker. Thoughts....

I charge while I'm in the shower or taking a bath. That seems to take care of it. According to my engineer husband, you probably have to fully charge the battery a couple of times at first before it will hold a charge for the longer period of time. I haven't really tested this out since the charge during my shower works just fine.

Your Charge HR should get about 5 days of a charge, if it's not, contact Fitbit, they will likely replace it for you....my daughter had the same problem and they sent her a new one...it can't hurt to try...

CRISS1054 I also wish the two would sync completely...I find the Fitbit nutrition tracker much quicker to use, but SP only syncs the exercise minutes.....

I can sync my SP foods log to fit bit, but it doesn't work the other way. I wonder why? At work I can log food on Fitbit, but can't go to Sparkpeople to log. I wish it would sync both ways.

My Charge HR also only gets about 2 days on a charge. I did sync it to Spark People, so don't know if that may be the reason or not. I synced it the day I got the FB, so can't tell if it affected it or not.

Despite being a 600+ days-in-a-row SparkPeople user, it feels like SP has almost run its course for me. The Fitbit was just what I needed to get me jazzed up and back on track, but I am using it more than SP these days. I hope SP doesn't export to Fitbit, as that would overwrite good info. I'm also enrolled in a new program called Prevent at work, so I'm trying (sorta) to keep up with three different tracker programs. Too much! :-)
I LOVE the Fitbit though!

Today I was at the doctor, and the nurse took my pulse. It was about 80 beats per minute. The Charge HR was registering about 104. I have not checked my pulse at home, but will to see if possibly a resting pulse is calculated the same by the FB and by me. The instructions say to have the FB a finger's width above one's wrist bone. I have tried to keep it there, but it continuously slides back down to my wrist. Maybe that is, in part, why there is a difference between the nurse's results and the FB's.

It also continues to occasionally record too many flights of stairs, but only one time has it NOT recorded one I actually climbed. I think the altitude information another person on this thread mentioned before is correct.

If I walk up hills my fitbit racks flights of stairs fairly quickly but it seems to miss actual flights of stairs. I got in the habit of going to the upstairs bathroom at work so when I go up the flight of stairs, I'll turn around and go up and down them again just to get in an extra flight. My fitbit will only register one flight.

Judy - I just got my fitbit this afternoon, and it said that I went up 45 flights of stairs. In reality, there were the equivalent of about 7 flights of stairs. However, I determined that fitbit bases the flights of stairs on altitude. Each time you go up about 10 feet fairly quickly, that counts as one flight. As I went up about 500 feet - some of it gradual and some either actual stairs or an uphill slope, then it seems consistent by that definition.

I just noticed yesterday that my SP food tracking didn't all get transferred into FB. It has, automatically, in the past. Don't know what's up with that, but SP is my focus, so if FB is wrong, I'll live with that. Last week my FB told me I climbed 12 flights of stairs! I climbed, possibly, 4. Guess they're not perfect.

I have been getting only about 2 days on a batter charge on my Charge HR, and all the FB ads, etc., say I should get 5 days. I changed a setting yesterday and turned off all day syncing. It'll be interesting to see if it helps my battery and if I remember to sync manually during the day. If the battery is still only good for 2 days, maybe I have a bad battery.

Judy

I think it's where you set the device up, but I don't want to go look on mine right now, I'm trying to force my food from spark in to fitbit right now. Seems like my fitbit is getting choosy about which foods to import :(

I am wondering if any of you are having trouble with the silent alarm on your Fitbit.
My daughter said there is a sensitive and normal setting but I can't seem to find it.
I have linked my FB to Spark People and so far it is working good.
Any help on the sleep setting would be Great.

Click on "my trackers" and scroll to "my weight" at the bottom right of that page is where you upload from fitbit and to fitbit.
