53% sedentary isn't too bad in my opinion. The graph included very active minutes, fairly active minutes, lightly active and sedentary minutes so it had more information. For me, 8 hours of sedentary time (excluding sleep) was a really good activity day. That would be 50% sedentary, but I don't think that is so bad. Half the waking time was active in that case and I think that is higher activity than is typical. If someone has a desk job then they probably are not going to get much less than 50% but that doesn't mean the metric is flawed. It is just giving the information there isn't a judgment. Someone can have 60 very active minutes and 70-80% sedentary if they train hard then are sedentary the rest of the time. I liked the activity graph. It was one of my favorite features, but it looks like a lot of people voted to bring it back, so hopefully it will be an option for those of us who want it.

The active score, I don't care too much about. It has to do with the "average METS" in the day and I tried to understand it. But really it is quite abstract and only useful in the sense I knew it was good if my Active score was over 1000. I like that there are a lot of things you can do to improve it (just reducing sedentary time makes a big difference up to the point possible.) and was supposedly fair comparison for people with differing BMR's (unlike calorie burn). But I probably won't personally miss that particular metric.

I go to the very active minutes tile and there is a magnifying glass, but clicking either the tile or the glass get me the pop up.

The active score I had no clue what that meant or how it was calculated. So it was useless. Goodbye.

The activity Pie chart was frustrating. I could run a half marathon, come home and mow the grass, walk up to the store and back, then sit down for the rest of the evening to watch a movie and be told I was 53% sedentary. Really? That was a useless metric. I think very active minutes is more useful.

Thanks Raul. I guess what I've got it as good as it gets, then.
Yes, that's frustrating for you, Pam! So when you hover on the middle bottom of the very active minutes tile you see nothing? You do have to hover over it.. I would contact support for sure!

@ USMAWIFE:

There is no magnifying glass on the ACTIVITY TILE. My instructions are for the VERY ACTIVE MINUTES TILE.

(And thank you for the link correction. I have made the correction and now it works!)

Thanks Slysam! I do see that I can click on the magnifier on the "very active minutes" tile and then click on "all", as you say! yay. Which is much better than nothing, but still not as good as before! And funny how they changed the colors. And yes, I miss the sedentary as well.. but we can work to make the hours of light through very combined be higher.. I do like the hours combined chart.

So.. is there not supposed to be a magnifier on the activity tile? I don't have one and if I click on settings all I get is the option to remove the tile.

Mine shows light, moderate and high activity if I click on the magnifying glass then choose the option "All" in the graph it gives. The default is just very active minutes for the week so it takes two clicks to see the other levels. And it excIudes sedentary minutes, I found sedentary minutes to be helpful as I would work on decreasing them. I don't care for this myself, the old graph was easier to see the information without multiple clicks. I voted for the suggestions to bring back the old graph as a tile in the feedback forum.

Thanks.. I read the article when I removed the s (the encryption link)
However it doesn't address my issue. Do you see a magnifier on the activity tile?
Oh well.. heading back to the treadmill.. I did report this on the feedback..hope they improve it before they do away with the old dashboard!

ROCKMAN, with the link you posted, it does not work. go in and remove the s from https and then save. there is something about that s that SP does not like

Hmmmm....this definitely is an issue that FB Tech Support needs to be made aware of.
Here is the information from FB with regards to opening up the tile. I have also included the link that discusses how to use all of the new features of the beta DASHBOARD.

Getting more detail

You can see more detail about your stats by hovering your mouse cursor over the tile and clicking the magnifying glass. This will create a pop-up window with more detail about your stats over time.
Logging food, activities, etc.

If you want to go to the Log page for a tile, hover your mouse cursor over the tile and click the arrow.

VIcky, Have not posted yet on the feedback section yet, but will. I synced mine just out of curiosity and still get nothing. perhaps it is trying to tell me I am not active at all. LOL

Gosh, Raul, I Wish I saw what you are referring to! I don't! Hmmmmm. I am with Pam.. I do not like this new chart at all! I am glad I have the option to use the old dashboard. I am not getting the old detail and I don't like the 15 minutes instead of 5. Pam did you post on the feedback section .. trying to give them feedback to change this.

(PS..when i click on the tile all I get is the option to remove it!)

I think I have discovered the issue. Clicking on the squares only brings up the pop up when you are looking at TODAY's data. I tried clicking on the square for yesterday and nothing happened but when I went to TODAY and then clicked the square, the pop up returned!

That is odd. What happens when you click on any of the other squares. A pop-up should result offering you more detailed information.

@ LIVINGLIFENOW:

Actually the new DASHBOARD does show ACTIVE TIME MINUTES. Click on the square that shows your VERY ACTIVE MINUTES. This will bring up a chart where you can then click ALL and this will bring up a graph showing you VERY, MODERATE, and LIGHT minutes. Run your mouse over the bars and it will provide you with the total time for each type of minute for that day.
USMAWIFE is probably referring to the ACTIVE SCORE which, unfortunately, has been "retired" by FB.
