Thanks. I'm happy to be back. I'm going to make a real effort this time. I just finished a long and hard obstacle, getting my BA. I know I can do this to! This weight will not hold me back any longer.

I know this is an older post, but i just saw it. Been away for far too long. I am a fish fanatic. My husband discovered how to fish not too long ago and has been bringing all different kinds home. These are all fresh fish recipes. I clean them, fillet, and immediately freeze or cook.

For trout
I cook in two ways. I either fry in a little olive oil and heavily salt with sea salt and black pepper then add lemon juice or I bake in the oven with a lot of olive oil, lemon juice a little sea salt and fresh ground black pepper

For salmon
i either fry on stovetop with some low fat butter and add lemon juice and seasonings, I bake in the oven in tin foil or I bake in the oven drenched in teriyaki sauce and add sesame seeds.

For Steealhead
i bake in the oven with sea salt and black pepper. Add lemon or lime juice at the last minute

Catfish

Simmer in low calorie apple juice, add cajun seasoning and sea salt

I marinade my salmon in Yoshida's Sweet Teriyaki sauce and cook it in a skillet for about 15-20 minutes! It's a great meal!

I love fish! This recipe is pretty good, it is tilapia. If you want more flavor I would add cumin to it or some other spices that you like the flavor of. recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai

I think tilapia is an easy fish and most people I know like the flavor.

Also, haddock is good just bake it in the oven with some lemon juice and panko bread crumbs sprinkled on top. Very Yummy!

I like lemon peppered salmon too, but salmon has a strong flavor so some people don't like it.

I usually buy the frozen fillets also, I just think it is easier. And the ones I buy come in individual packages which is convenient since I can just thaw out the amount that I need.

Rice always goes good with fish in my opinion. So maybe you could serve a parsley rice, or rice pilaf, or rice primavera and some vegetables. Or maybe even a salad.

Most fish is baked at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Hope this helps!

I use salmon fish. You can marinade with your choice of rub. or you can make it your own. It really doesn't take long to cook. I cook mine my in onion gravy.

Hey KO, I love Salmon and I start mine off on the stove top and then put into the oven to finish it off. It really doesn't take long to cook.

First, I season mine with Garlic & Onion powder, Adobo Goya seasoning & black pepper to taste. Then I place some I can't believe it's not butter in a frying pan. Place the salmon non skin side down first to give it a nice brown golden color. Takes about 5 minutes or less to brown. Then I flip it over, put a little bit of water in the pan and place in the oven to finish off cooking process. Maybe another 10-15 minutes to make sure it cooks all the way through. I normally cut one in half to make sure it's cooked all the way through. Remember, it continues to cook once out of the oven and you don't want it too dry. Once it's out of the oven, I sprinkle some honey on top to give it a nice sweet taste.

You could also make a nice sauce to go on top. I sauté some Garlic, onions & tomatoes season with pepper & a little salt to taste. Add a little bit of water to make it a nice sauce.

You could also go on Spark People recipes and look up the type of fish you want to make.

Let us know what you decide to make and if you have any more questions. emoticon

What should I serve with it? How long does it cook for? How do I season it? What temperature? I am clueless about this one. emoticon
