I started with blond and by college went to a dirty blond, now it's almost brown. As soon as Sept gets here, it's going to be RED!! Definitely not natural but i just love it!

Medium Brunette. I do a color wash (semi permanent) of a slightly deeper brown. :)

I was so surprised to see you all posting about how you love red, but nobody uses henna. Has anyone ever tried it? When you look at the pictures on the web, they have pictures of deep ambers and burgundys, shiney and beautiful. It's all natural, doesn't dye, and just coats the hair shaft to make hair thicker and in better condition. (supposedly) Is this something I want to try?

it's like a muddy brown that's going gray along the roots. I've been dyeing it red since high school, with a few trips to blonde town. But red is more me!

To all those putting black in their hair...STOP IT!!! Please use darkest brown...it isn't as harsh to your face and can be removed easily. This is especially important if you are using haircolor from a box. Just sayin'...

light brown and gray. Just had my hair dyed and I'm not happy with it. It's light brown the beautician talked me into 8n (supposed to be light blonde well it looks light brown to me and everybody else. AND she tried to say I was the one to pick it out!! I'm like know you kept saying "go with the 8n." Supposedly she is going to give me highlights on tuesday. Sorry I had to vent.

Mine is brown, with red, and sometimes, strawberry blonde in the sun. Funny thing.. My hair was BLEACH BLEACH blond until I was about..8? yeah. 8. Then it randomly started darkening. My sisters used to say I had white hair. lol. The funny thing is that I believed them :-) haha. I died my hair about three years ago once, and for a party I was Cruella DeVill.. I died my hair half black and half white. :) but it's all natural now

Wow! You see... I just learned something new. I didn't know they even made a red hairspray or glaze. The only thing I have seen and purchased is red shampoo and conditioner. I have to see where they would sell that here. Yea, I hate it when my red starts fading and looks dull. I need to recolor my hair this week coming. I wish SP let us add photos in our posts. That would be nice. So I could take pics after I finish.

I've seen several Women at Concerts with Red & black mixtures. Looks great!!! I do have a hard time keeping my redness. Lol! I have this red glaze by John Frieda that I use sometimes. Because it is soo exspensive. But I got it on sale at Kroger, their red Hair spray is awesome also (also got on Sale). You've reminded me I need to dye my hair. It is getting kinda dull.

OMG!! Me too! I LOVE deep reds. Red is my favorite color. My hair is colored red. It is a pain to maintain and I always have to use 2 boxes because I have a ton of hair. Whenever I wash it the red bleeds. Does yours do that? I was thinking of adding some black pieces in my hair. DO you think that would look ok on me?

Yea.. tell me about it. Bleach is aweful for hair. I have bleached my hair so many times I am surprised that I am not BALD!!! My hair is damaged now and very dry. Wish there was a way to lighten it without bleach but with my hair there was no other options available so I took the risk.

It is a sandy brown/ blond. If you look at my arms you can see blond hair. I had my cousin bleach my hair and it was beautiful a couple years ago and i loved it, but the bleach made my hair fall out.

I color my hair alot! Right now my hair is an intense red color that I do myself at home. But I was born with dirty blonde color hair which got darker as I got older. Eventually my hair turned brown and that is when I started to color it.
