The fun thing about Figgins is how much he knows about the cost of running a school. He'll tell you how much it costs to keep the lights on in one classroom for one period.

All fun aside, think about the lack of funding in education lately - fewer teachers getting paid little money, digging into their own pockets for quite a few classroom items, parents required to pack a buttload of school supplies for school... the list goes on. So while it's funny, it's not so funny that in reality, there's a definite need for the Figginses of the world to keep any kind of creative outlets alive.

Wow. Where did that come from? I think I just channeled my mom (a career teacher).

Sorry... sermon over. Back to lighthearted, fun, Glee goodness.

I was so glad to see Figgins grow at least one or two vertebrae toward the end of the season where Sue is concerned!

Yeah, that's just one of the minor inconsistencies the last arc had that readily annoyed me.

Also, we did see the Cheerio's practice in the gym (Madonna episode), so I'm beginning to think that the auditorium off-limits-ing in the beginning of the arc was just Sylvester's manipulation of Figgens. She probably also somehow managed to get the basketball team to practice on the blacktops so her girls could practice in comfort.

Plus, didn't April Rhodes 'buy' the auditorium and have it named the April Rhodes Auditiorium or something like that, so that the Glee Club had full rights to it?

I think the Basketball team excuse is a good one, personally. They stink, they need as much room for practice as they can get. Plus, I could be wrong because I'm not into sports, but I think the gym's just a fraction of the size of the football field, so it would be cramped if both teams sharing it.

Besides Figgins being a worm?

Sue just wants all the territory she can get. There's no reason I can think of that she couldn't use the gym except that she doesn't want Will to have the auditorium.

So, maybe I've been watching the show way too much, but I'm sitting here with "Hell-O" playing on my DVR, and I have another question:

First, let me provide a little reminder: Sue's returned from suspension, and winter's coming in Lima. So, the principal says that Glee has to share the auditorium with the Cheerios.

Here's my question: Why do the Cheerios have to use the auditorium when there's a perfectly good gymnasium? We've seen them practice in there before (and they put on that whole little show with Kurt and Mercedes in the gym), and I'd think all those flips would be dangerous among those low lights in the auditorium.

It's easy to understand it from Sue's perspective - she wants to make Will's life hell. But Principal Higgins, despite being blackmailed into letting Sue return to work, seemed to be down with it as well, not even asking Sue why she couldn't use the auditorium. Obviously the basketball team sucks just as badly as the football team, so it's not as though there'd be a problem on their end.

Any thoughts?
