My computer died so we had to get a new one, and it took days to get all the bugs worked out and get back online.

The real issue and request I have is, does anyone know how to safely boost metabolism? I have not lost one pound, and I have been eating between 1300 and 1400 calories and staying on track with all my fats and carbs and porteins.

I asked my doc and he said if there was a magic pill like that it would be selling like hot cakes.

Surely there has to be something.

I have tried vit. b-12, but it went right through me. :-(

Any help at all would be great.

Thanks so all, and sorry for whinning.

Thanks so much for the nutrition info! I'm trying to change my eating habits to prevent cancer because I have a greater risk of it since my dad has it. Thanks again...I really appreciate it!

Dear Lilpede

Thanks for the nutrition info, it is certainly worth looking into, I am all for better nutrition as a preventative measure and also as a healing measure.

However, I'm not too sure if I would be able to give up meat. I know my family wouldn't!

I often think of the moral issues of eating meat and believe I shouldn't eat it, but in practice I can't carry it out. I am now eating much more fish than ever before, but I guess it's still bad.

I hope the change to organic food and using Soy improves your husband's condition.

I took a peak at the website you recommended, and made it a favourite for later perusal.

Best heartfelt wishes to you all.

Since I found out my husband has cancer I've been doing research. I found out so much that helps and hinders the growth of cancer cells. Soy is great. It actually slows the growth of cancer cells. I'm trying to incorporate this into his diet. I make him soy smoothies every morning.

Pesticides found on fruits and vegetables actually feed cancer cells. They thrive on this. I now only buy organic.

Also meat is very bad. Not only because of the fat but because of the hormones they inject and the food they feed them have loads of pesticides.

It's not easy trying to change someones diet but I'm trying. I cut out the meat 3 times a week, make the soy shakes and buy lots of organic fruits and veggies. It's actually good for the entire family. I'm eating veggies I never had. Kale, collard greens and others. Some of them are really tasty.

I found a really good website that gives so much info on nutrition. If you're interested check it out.
