Hi Lilpede

I am sure everyone has a link with cancer, it is so prevalent in all families. Some more than others.

My grandmother had breast cancer, but lived to the age of 93.

My 78 year old mother, 3 years ago, was found to have a lump in her left breast following a mammogram. She had the breast removed and had a very slow recovery of approximately 2 years. She still has some major scar tissue problems that will not improve further.

So I am now on notice. I have a mammogram every year to, hopefully, ensure early detection.

One thing I did find on the web recently was a product called Xango mangosteen juice. Have you heard of it? If not, it may be worth looking into.

I have no idea if it will deliver the results they credit it with, but I was thinking of giving it a try.

If you do a search you will find various websites selling it. It, supposedly, is remarkably high in antioxidants, and they even recommend it for pain - back pain in particular.

If you are interested, one website in the US is http://www.mymangosteen.com, and the email address is jemlaw@mac.com.

Have a great day.

My husbands family members also have cancer. One sister-in-law had breast cancer, another had ovarian cancer. His father died of lung cancer and his brother is having major prostate problems, we're hoping it doesn't lead to cancer. I'm really scared for my kids.

It's not easy getting through this. Some days are really tough. My husband's prognosis is not good. To look at him you would never know anything was wrong. He is still working. He gets very tired all the time. Because of this he doesn't seem to want to do anything and I want to do so much with what time we have left. I'm still trying to figure all this out. Like I said it's not easy.

Just want to say Hi to anyone to come. My husband has advanced prostate cancer. I'm sure there are a lot of people who have spouses with cancer. I thought it would be nice to have a place to talk to others who can relate.
