Thanks for sharing! Doctors are detectives at best and each person is an individual so a number can sometimes be meaningless. emoticon Rose

Hey, everyone--

I just read an online article by a guy named Steven Jay Gould. If you know that name, fine; if you don't, it doesn't matter. He had just been diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer, and began looking at the statistics--and came to some very interesting conclusions. If you or your loved ones have been struggling under the weight of having the doctors say, "The median length of survival is about 8 months" or something similar, go to the link below and read a bit more about precisely what that means. The short story is that you have just as much chance of living longer than that--even much, much longer!--as you do of hitting that hypothetical mark. I encourage you to go take a look!
