It's so great when we get to see them being a little bit like their old selves! You made me think of some funny/(not-funny!) things... I remember when my mom called the appliance store to fix her cable! Oh boy! emoticon

I spent a good deal of the day at my Dad's house today. Jay, a man of all trades, was coming to do some repairs at my dad's. I need to be there because my dad forgets that someone is there and why and when he hears a noise he wants to know what's going on. It is easier if I am there and I can explain what he is hearing as if it was the first time. Jay went up into the attic to see if there was water damage because he found a hole in the roof near a dmaged vent. I went up the ladder and poked my head into the attic as Jay explained what he had found. None of the exhaust vents were actually connected to the outside and everything was being vented into the attic!! At the end of the day Jay brought in a rubber gasket arrangement that is used beneath the vent. It had been torn by an animal. My dad got up and went over to where Jay was standing and Jay explained what repairs he had made and what problems he had found to my dad. My dad asked questions that were pertinent and Jay answered them. It was wonderful to see this interaction take place. It was like Dad was his old self again.
