My routine is more relaxed than I'd like it to be, but it's what I can do right now. I'm still putting in the time (minus a Weds class and some other possible stuff that I could do on Sunday morning if there was no practice or Saturday if my trainer isn't available), but I can't put in the intensity that I like because of my hip injury. There is just a lot I can't do. However, I'm operating on the something is better than nothing philosophy. Trying to keep my body strong.

Monday-Boot Camp at gym
Tuesday-Practice. It runs 2.5 hours but I would say there is actually 2 hours of skating.
Weds-Day of rest. Once in a blue moon I'll manage to catch a yoga class. 1.5 hours.
Thursday-Practice. 2.5 hours again. Or, sports conditioning class at gym. Used to be a heavy lifting day with lots of legwork.
Friday-Boot Camp at gym
Saturday-Kettlebell/agility at gym. It's usually just me and my trainer, even though it's an open class. If no one shows up we do upper body lifting.
Sunday-Practice. 2.5 hours. Yoga in the evenings for 1.5 hours.

I don't include walking my dogs in my tracking, but I walk an hour each day. I walk each dog alone, for 30 minutes.

I am on skates for 3 hours Sunday and Wednesday and then 1 hour conditioning practice Tuesday and Friday. I run four nights a week and do the 30 day shred or Richard Simmons (don't be hatin, dancing is fun!)

Never give up, never give in, NEVER QUIT TRYING!!!!

I have a two-hour practice three times per week, and I try to get to open skate at least one or two other times per week. As for off-skates stuff, I usually jog one night a week and do HIIT cardio one or two nights per week and do weights and core three times per week.

What is your routine?? How many days a week are you on skates? When you aren't on skates, what are you doing to keep yourself in your best derby shape?

Never give up, never give in, NEVER QUIT TRYING!!!!
