I'm doing okay!

I didn't think I was seeing much progress from strength training, but at this set of rehearsals for our half-time show, my arms looked more like arms and less like skinny noodles! Plus, this month's newsletter from GGRD had a photo of me and a teammate, which was kind of cool. We usually feature action shots from the game, so that was really a treat...

Anyone else?

Well I'm happy to say that 2 weeks in and I've lost 3 pounds! Woo-Hoo! I'm doing pretty good Pinky, and I feel really in control of my eating & fitness. Before I was eating because it was "lunch time" or "dinner time" but now I'm eating because I'm actually hungry. So I've been able to really cut some calories by basically listening to my body (and stomach!). Plus, the added skating is keeping me motivated more than anything. I would rather burn calories with a group of girls that I love hanging out with than by myself walking around the 'hood. I'm really liking this SparkPeople thing - Thanks Kat for turning me onto it!

So, how's everybody doing? Seems like we all jumped on board here and the group got a little quiet!

I lost another pound this week! I was hoping for a little more but I knew this pat weekend took its toll on me w/ bad food & some drinking at a party I attended.

I hoping to really back into an exercise routine. I had been working out pretty regular with a goal to lose 10 lbs by my birthday (which is Wed.) I started this plan the beginning of July. Then I hurt my stupid knee the following week. My knee is starting to feel somewhat normal though I still have a rough time bearing weight on it while in a kneeling position. I have yet to take a fall on it.

So, how is everyone else doing? Any other success stories? Let's hear about it!

Congratulations on your loss, DD!!

I am happy to report that I have lost 2.5 lbs!! I didn't think I was going to have any loss since I was totally on board yet with my eating. I have to say I ate junk food a few times this week and had "leaded" soda a couple times. But I guess some of the good changes I made have started me back on the right track. My goal is to really plan this week and track everything I eat not just breakfast & lunch!

After one week I'm super happy to say that I've gone from 188.5 to 186.7!!! Almost a full 2 pounds! I just got my first period since the baby (sorry about the overshare) so even with the inevitable bloat, etc I'm seeing some progress!

I lost 3 lbs this week!

It's amazing what eating better foods will do for you!

Also, getting back into riding my bike and lifting weights have already made a difference in my skating. I felt much more comfortable against Charm City yesterday and even got past Dolly with reasonable ease a couple of times. Way better experience then when Detroit played them at ECE!
