Yes when I did a walk to remember the heroes of 9/11 and I did 19 miles. That was 4 years ago. I also did 2010 through 2013 with 15.2 miles in the Bataan Death March Memorial at White Sands Missile Range.

Never have walked continuously for 6 hours or more. I do remember taking a longer than anticipated run that lasted 4 hours....and that seemed like an eternity. A new fitness friend enticed me to go on a run from the Y to downtown Waco, then through the park and back on a different route. She said she'd done that route before and it was about a few minutes over 2 hours, but actually she had miscalculated the distance and route -- and we were stuck having to run back to where our transportation was when we realized it was such a LONG way not retracing our steps halfway, but going the alternate way back that was supposed to take the same amount of time. I had dropped my sons off at preschool before starting the run, and had to call my DH to pick them up on time.

Yes. Back in 2002, I did the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk (now the Komen 3-Day - Avon's walk is 2 days). 60 miles over 3 days, so I walked more than 6 hours each of those days.

QUESTION: Have you ever...walked for more than six hours?

Honestly, when the walk-a-thon was based on time and not mileage when I was in middle school, thats a possibility, but I dont think so.

It was a busy day, but I made it safely to and from work in my new car. Definitely is going to be an adjustment for sure, but I do love it. I have not been hitting my step goal as weve been so busy at work and Im just so tired. Ive not been pushing it. Hoping getting back into a regular schedule will help me. The countdown has begun though. My allergy shots are going to be here in a few more weeks. While I am not looking forward to feeling like a pincushion, I am hoping that it will help me greatly. The meds help, but I am still breaking out and the dogs are determined to be all up in my lap and all over everything. I did not take lunch or snacks yesterday, but I made a double turkey pot pie last night so Im taking that for lunch today. I better get moving! Happy hump day!

Take Care and God bless,

Tracey W.
