I think you can move on and continue doing what is working for you now. I track my food daily after 3 years - Go ahead and earn your points. unless you want to hold back for some reason. In the end it is each one of us holding ourselves accountable.

Hope that made sense and emoticon job.

Hi Everyone,
Has anybody started Stage 3 yet? I've received an email saying it was time to go from 2 to 3 and I think I'm ready, but I'm not sure. I mean I'm ready for this to be a lifestyle change, not just a diet that I'll be done with once I lose the weight. But I'm not sure; should I be in Stage 3 if I haven't lost the weight, if I'm not anywhere near my goal weight? Another question: If I read it correctly, one of the things to do in this stage is to track your food just once a week. I really like tracking the food daily, I think it really helps me. On the other hand I see what they are saying about "less hand holding". I just don't know if I'm ready to let to of the "hand" yet. Maybe I'm not ready for Stage 3? I'd appreciate any advice and insight. Thanks.

Happy that you checked in. It is always so nice to hear from team-mates and what they are up to.

Isn't the spark book emoticon

I tried to visit your spark page to leave you a goodie, but it is set to private. That is ok if that is how you want it. However you may get more support and feedback if it was public.

I hope the book is helping you to stay involved and set some goals. Please know I am here if you need anything or just have a question - no matter how big or small. We are all on the same lifelong, lifestyle journey toward living healthier and happier.

emoticon ANDYSGIRL93,

All we can ask for of ourselves is to know we are doing the best we can, one step at a time. Small changes add up to life long healthy habits.

Check out the healthy lifestyle section - it has numerous great articles about not using the scale to judge progress.

Hope you have found a team you like that you can participate in on a regular basis and a few spark buddies. This has been key to my remaining motivated and remaining on the healthy path.

I am here if you need anything. Keep up the great work.

I have not really lost any weight yet, but...I feel good! I feel more fit, healthy, and aware of myself as I make good choices in regards to nutrition and activity. I didn't realize how little protein I was getting. I think I will lose weight eventually, but even if I don't, this is a good program for me to stick with. It is fairly easy, makes good sense, and without it, I would probably gain wait and eventually suffer from poor health. This past week I did ramp up my exercise some, and tried really hard not to "graze" (one of my weaknesses). I'm afraid to weigh myself though. I think I will be very discouraged when I don't see those numbers go down. I'm trying to look for progress in other ways.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

emoticon LADYCITY,

I am sorry you were not feeling well, but am glad you went to the Dr. and got to the bottom of your exhaustion.

I know that feeling. I was in bed for almost a year before my endocrinologist said my levels including vitamin D were so low she didn't know how I was still alive. It turned out to be due to celiac (SPRUE) disease. It took me almost another year to get back on my feet.

You are right to take it slow and build up strength. Please keep me posted how you are doing.

Morning everyone,

My progress was actually slowed down because for a couple weeks I didn't do any tracking calories nor exercise because of exhaustion. I went to my doc and turns out I had extreme low vitamin D and he wrote me a prescription.

Now I'm feeling a little better and plan to slowly get back to exercise. I'm now tracking calories again.

I would call that emoticon progress. That is what the program is about - set small goals and review them regularly to see what did and did not work.

emoticon about the family health issues. Please know Holly and I are here for you if you need support.

Good Morning
My progress took a set back this week when I had a frustrating week with family health issues that took me away from my routine. I took a positive look at it though when I recognized that I don't do well when I get out of my daily routine. I caught myself eating from emotions and I stopped before I did too much damage. This time it didn't take long to get back on track. I think of that as progress. emoticon

Hey All,

As Holly and I mentioned when the class began - this team was intended to get you all up and going on Spark. However, we are still here for any help or support needed.

I decided to create this thread so you could check back in every once in awhile and inspire others on or come and be inspired.

Keep Going - One Day At A TIME emoticon
