I started going to the gym several months ago in the evening. After some changes in my job I needed to start going early in the morning. My gym is open 24 hrs but a little scary for a women to go alone. I had asked many of my single friends, but no takers. Then a miracle happened, I teasingly asked my brother to come and he said yes. He had never exercised in a gym in his 40 years, so don't get discouraged finding the right exercise partner. They might just be under your nose. We have not miss'd meeting our exercise goals for 3 weeks! Donnetta

Carol, thank you for your reply. You would think that cooking for only yourself you could lose something, but I must be in a different catagorie.

Hopefully the new year will bring some changes for me and I can see a good result in the weight loss.

I'm sort of new myself and I see that no one has answered your post. I need a buddy too. I'm just not going to reiterate all the diets I've been on and what has occurred in my 61 years. There is one week to go until New Year's and I have all week to mull over what I want to do and what goals I want to achieve next year. First, I want to make a committment. How do I do that and stick to it? I'll be around if you need me. Carol

OK, Just got back from an appointment my doctor set up with the dietitcian. (I know I spelled that wrong) and boy do I need help. I want,need to lose 50 lbs, starting with 20 though. This is/will be very hard for me by myself.

I need encouragement daily. If someone is in the Superior area and would like to take walks in the evening with me I'm all for it. Even going to a gym with someone would be great. I have kids that are grown and on their own. I live by myself, go to school and work a full time job.
