Wow, I am so impressed with what you've done and what you are close to achieving!

I know exactly what you mean about how it gets harder to lose the older you get. When I was young, I could knock it off in no time. I was also much more active then and much healthier. It was hard adjusting to my slow progress in my middle age. Now, I accept it. It's going to be slow and steady as long as I keep working at it.

Good to hear you are making progress. I have as well but it's gotten so slow that it went backwards for a time. Now working on the 20lb. gain having gotten it to 15lb. gain. Hope to have that and one more pound off by the end of the year to make my goal of 100lbs. gone forever. A lot of people don't realize just how easy it goes on and how hard it is to get it off especially as one gets older. Keep hanging in there and you are going to make your goals.

I count housecleaning as an exercise too. That can be a lot of work. Sounds like you are doing the really hard stuff, above and beyond "just" cleaning.

Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner.
Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

I have been working on my exercise streak recently. That has been my concrete goal to work on. Because I have been ill for a lot of the last 5 years, I had really gotten out of the habit and had to start with very small steps. When I started back walking almost three weeks ago, I started with 10 - 15 minutes and have increased that to about 25-30 right now.

I am also trying to get more activity in my days, so I have made a goal of seriously cleaning something for 15 minutes every day. Some days, it turns into more time. Today I cleaned out a closet and it took about 1.5 hours. Lifting, sorting, scrubbing, etc. I can track that on the exercise tracker under heavy cleaning and it really adds up!

As an added bonus, my house is slowly getting a lot cleaner and more organized. I still have a long way to go, but I have made a lot of progress recently. emoticon
