I know many people have said it's hard to control it at work, but really thats the easiest place for me. I run around my work hiding everyones yummy food, or replace it with healthy food lol

For me, it's being around certain people. The people that you're around the most influence your life, even if you don't notice it. So when I hang out with my old friends from high school, or family get togethers, thats normally when I do bad.

It is always tough to get through those times we are weakest. My tough time is when I am at work. My stressful job leaves me wanting to snack on something constantly. I have taken to keeping all food off my desk unless I am eating my breakfast or lunch. I try to bring healthy snacks, such as fruit, though a lot of times it just sits here. I also allow myself one treat in the afternoons, one candy bar of my choice so that I am not totally deprived...certainly I don't make my calorie goals most of the time, but I find I am eating healthier on the overall and that is a step in the right direction for me.

It is all about the little steps. You might try making up a large meal on the weekends and packaging the leftovers in single serve containers to eat as dinners during the week...if you eat a decent dinner each night for one week reward yourself with a movie and popcorn...also making sure we drink enough water will also help us to feel full and be less likely to snack as much.

Mine is at work. I have hypoglycemia and b/s drops unexpectedly so I have to eat something to bring it back up and stabilize it. Have switched from candy bars to pretzels and it seems to work nearly as well.

I find that during the day, I seem to have a good handle on what I eat and keep it in pretty good control. My problem starts with the late hour I get out of work (7:00 PM), I live by myself, so of course, when I do get home, I don't feel like cooking... and don't.. Which, of course, leads to finding whatever I can in the cupboards. I also make the mistake of sometimes shopping when I'm hungry... emoticon ... emoticon ... gee, didn't find a symbol for those UTZ ruffle chips!! I am trying to replace those chips with cherios and sometimes light popcorn. For some reason when I am reading, it's an automatic thing, when the elbow bends, the mouth opens.... Another words, night time is my worst time.

PS.... I hate raw vegetables and always have
