Thanks for the great advice, and all of the support!

Surprisingly, I did pretty well this weekend. Actually, I didn't consume as many calories as I should have (I also didn't get in as much exercise as I had hoped either...).

What I'm finding difficult (and looking for solutions to) is that on the weekends, I'm surrounded by people that want to eat out, grab fast food, etc. My boyfriend is thin as a rail, and is actually trying to gain weight without success, but his daughter is quite a few pounds overweight. I try to make healthier choices as an example for her, and cook at home as often as possible, but being 11, she's highly uninterested.

I'm working to prevent dwelling thoughts on what I could have done better this past weekend, and instead focus on what I'm going to do tomorrow.

Thanks for all of the kind words of wisdom!!

Nik

I wish I'd read this thread earlier!

I didn't track my food intake much at all because it seemed so difficult for some reason. I'd been feeling so good all week, and this weekend really brought me down. I did get some exercise in, however, so it wasn't a total loss.

Thanks for the advice about staying on schedule through the weekend. It'll help me with my new endeavor here, and make me feel better about myself.

As an added bonus, it'll probably help my two-year-old with his not-so-great sleep habits!

I agree, develop some kind of schedule. Of course, take into account you're sleeping in later and may have a different plan than during the week, but as long as you schedule in exercise and pay attention to what you're eating you should be good. And Ana is right, you can have a couple of goodies (beer during fb games) and as long as you add them into your tracker and don't go overboard, you'll still be fine. It's all about portions and paying attention to what you're doing. Just don't lose focus! Good luck!

Plant seeds of expectation in your mind; cultivate thoughts that anticipate achievement. Believe in yourself as being capable of overcoming all obstacles and weaknesses.

maybe have a schedule. I know I like to sleep in and stuff but I also find that if I exercise in the morning I have more energy to burn thru out the day. As for Football sunday. All I can say is SELF CONTROL. The great thing about this site is you can eat watever you like but have portion control. Hope this helps sweeti

Hey everyone!

Since this is our first week here for everyone, I was wondering if anyone has a specific tactic for handling the weekend??

I know in my household, weekends are pretty busy and seem to lack the structure that we have during the week. Breakfasts are later, dinners are more haphazard, and football Sundays just won't be the same without a beer or two!

I'm starting to feel a little anxious about the upcoming weekend, and any advice or plans that others have would be a great help!
