Question - I don't have a Facebook account, and I don't think I'd have time to check it often enough if I did. For those that do and are a fan of Facebook - are the discounts that she has worth having one and checking it once in awhile? I DO need some stuff! Ann: The Kickboxing dvd workout seems to be an introductory workout, which I needed, to learn the different moves and segments (of whatever she calls them). Once you get that down a little, it's fun to move on to the Boxing workout. (I have even gone back and forth on the 2 and gotten a great workout.) I haven't tried the Fusion workout - I need to get the 1st 2 down before I move on the the Fusion - I figured it was harder - but I'm not sure.

There are no premixes on TravelFit but it would be fairly easy to break it apart if you wanted to. I used it once on my last business trip and it was effective. :)

I LOVE that one......It's going to be my go to workout on days when I don't feel like doing a full out weight training workout.
Don't get me wrong....it is NOT easy....but it is a good overall workout. I mean, you KNOW you've done something CATHE. :o)

Thanks for the info.
I had seen some threads about the shock cardio workouts as everyone was receiving them, but haven't come back to check out comments on them. Too many projects and hobbies lately.
I did get Travel fit as well. Also still in the cellophane, but I'm glad to have that one for traveling.
Are there pre-mixes on there? I guess I could pull out travel fit and do just upper body. That actually sounds like fun for something new.

I found the MMA Kickboxing to be the least intense of the Shock Cardio so far. Cathe does have a thread on her website where she lists them according to intensity and I think that one was the first or at least down there on the intensity scale. The only step I have done so far was the Atheltic step, I don't have the time to take to learn Step Moves right now and it takes me awhile to get the step routines. AS was very cardio challenging not so much on the choreography though. It is easy to pick up and I have read that SM is much less demanding than AS but harder to pick up the choreography.

I did Cardio Core Circuit and was surprised on how hard that one hit me! Man those cardio drills sure do add up. I was really dragging by the 4th one. The Core part I could handle but that cardio sure did whip me! emoticon

I know, that is how I convinced myself it was ok not to do any weight training - after all I was running a lot. Feels good to be back to the weight training even if it is just 2 days a week, and shorter workouts.

I'd try one of the step workouts then. ;) I still haven't tried any of the HIIT workouts. LOL I wouldn't call training for a marathon slacking... but I know what you mean!

Doing well here, just been MIA on pretty much all things sparkpeople lately. Doesn't help that I was a major Cathe Slacker for the entire month of December either because this is the sp forum I'm most active on.
I've been training for a marathon - which is why I haven't been doing Cathe. I finally got better and for the last 2 weeks have done some Cathe upper body and abs on my 2 days that I'm supposed to cross train.
I ordered the Shock cardio and they are still not even out of the cellophane. Can't wait to try those, but it won't be until after the marathon at the end of February. Any suggestions as to what to try first -I'm sure I'll want low impact not too hard at first.

I used to do that (enter each exercise and save the workout in favorites.) but that was before sts. There are so many sts workouts that I haven't wanted to take the time to enter them. Plus I use cathe's site to log those workouts now and 1 time logging them is good enough for me.

It seemed less consuming because of the time required to load the DVD go to the menu chapters to figure out all the exercise to add the # of reps, ect than to just type in the DVD name add that as a favorite..any way it seemed that way to me. Haven't tried it yet so I will see....

It is less time consuming than setting up the individual exercises... BUT, once set up as a favorite, it is much easier to just select that.

Ok Thanks! So when you say you enter yours SHANIHIB you put in the title of the DVD, say STS Disc 1, over and over until it totals 55 minutes? That is a less time consuming idea!

I have entered several, but lately I just put the whole workout in as the exercise and repeat until I've come up to the amount of time worked out (each entry equals 5 minutes.)

I use the Tracker for Cathe. But, I just enter the workout DVD....not the individual workouts.
I just count the minutes and log them in under the Cardio portion of the tracker.

I was wondering about using the Fitness tracker here on SP and what I was curious about if other members of this team have taken the time to enter exercises from Cathe's weight workouts and if so will they be available for me to select of will I have to enter them each individually?

I already use the Workout Manager on CatheNation but that doesn't really list each individual exercise, just the DVD, and I want to start tracking my workouts more intensely. My thoughts of doing it here instead would be to get points for my teams and hopefully not to have enter each exercise individually.

Terri: I couldn't believe it when I read that your BFF sent you a weighted vest - wow! I am so jealous - I have to admit! You will be ready for your next round of STS - you are one lucky woman. (A little bit late - but I had to chime in...)

I can't wait to open my Shock Cardio, either. I've been watching the clips on the website and I showed my 15-year-old daughter what "we'll" be doing after Christmas. She said "no way". I said "you'll be watching me, then. I've been practicing my jumps on the step with 2 risers underneath and doing HIIT on the treadmill to get ready!" Woo Hoo! It's great to be 50 be ready for the challenge.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived home yesterday and there was a big box sent from CATHE....
I was concerned at the size and weight of the box --- as I knew that the new Cardio Series is not going to be nearly that heavy....and BESIDES, it was way early...

Then, I thought - as I lifted it into the house ....HEAVY.... that maybe they sent me the wrong thing and I was concerned that i would have to take the thing back....UPS is a ways from home and I didn't want to fool with it.

IMAGINE my surprise and THRILL when I discovered that my BESTIE from Georgia had sent me ....
