Thanks, Marie! I'm still waiting for race to post the official results. I'm not very patient when it comes to things like that!

Okay I may have to switch it up! I was using my Gymboss as the dictator, beep = walk, beep = run, never thought about not going outside of the beeps. lol

I don't have really bad inclines and declines on my running routes, thank goodness! However, I tend to run down the declines and walk up the inclines, if I'm doing the walk/run method. However, I have walked down the declines and run up the inclines slowly. It just depends on how I'm feeling and how bad the inclines/declines are. If the inclines are that bad, I just walk up...slowly! On bad declines...I try to control the gravity pull down by walking as controlled as possible but it tends to pull me into a run. emoticon

I don't always stop to walk on down hills. If its a walk segment I think of coasting down the hill. Does that make sense. On some of our steep hills it would take effort to slow to a walk. Now if it was a slight downhill slope where that coast brought me to a walk then I'd walk.

As for up hills I run up the hill, but slowly.

I never stop to walk on a downhill. I tack it on to the next up hill.

If you're not having fun, then why run?

You don't get to choose how you're going to die, or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now.

That the run is always on the uphill and the walk is on the downhill? What's up with that!
lol emoticon

And the real fun -- my house is in a higher elevation so getting home always ends uphill!
