Good morning.

What popped into my head is the question of whether you might be overdoing it, for your present age and level of fitness. "Getting fit" means something way different if you are 56 like me, or perhaps 25 or 30 years younger. It also matters whether the goal is weight loss, cardio-vascular fitness, or both.

I use gadgets too to track my fitness. For me, its about keeping my heart rate within target range as much as anything. I'm afraid of blowing past the "cardio" zone; becoming an interesting gym statistic probably would be no fun.

Good luck!

I logged over 14000 steps on my Fitbit yesterday and did seventy minutes on the treadmill. This morning I have a fitness class and will hit the treadmill again and do some strength training as well.
