Good for you!

My good news is having not yet popped.

And only a week or two until spring training starts in Florida and Arizona.

Seriously, that is good news indeed for you. And now, to hereby anoint "diabeticness" as a word...

Men,

I had a check-up with my doctor this past Thursday. Nothing but good news!

Weight is down a few pounds since my last visit in September. It's only a few pounds, but hey, I didn't GAIN any over the holidays!

Blood pressure was normal: 119/80. It hasn't been better than high-normal since before I started taking medication for it 23 years ago.

Biggest news (or at least the doc seemed to think) was my A1C level: down from 9 to 7 since September. For those who don't know, that's a measure of blood glucose over time. A better indicator of "diabeticness" than blood glucose. 7 is just outside of normal or maybe normal. That decrease is at least partly because of medication I just started taking.

I hope that as I continue to improve my diet/weight/exercise I can at least kick the need for medication for diabetes, maybe even reduce/eliminate the need for blood pressure meds.

Who else has some good news?!?!?
