I FINALLY KNEW I HAD TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT WHEN...

My daughter was 6months old (9years ago).
She woke up in her crib and started crying. I got to the top of the stairs and had to catch my breath before picker her up....

@Mitch
I know the feeling well - and the harsh looks from the folks on either side of me!

I FINALLY KNEW I HAD TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT WHEN...

I was stuck in the middle seat of a flight from St. Lucia to Atlanta for over 5 hours and was totally miserable! And no wonder...when i stepped on the scale when I got home, I weighed in at 287!!

in my late forties, I was referred by my doctor, for a baseline nuclear cardiac imaging scan because, as he said I "had so many risk factors for coronary disease."

I FINALLY KNEW I HAD TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT WHEN...

I went to my doctor just after my 47th birthday and found that I was 244 pounds and my blood pressure and cholesterol were in the danger zone. I was facing a lifetime of maintenance medications if I didn't change my lifestyle and, since my dad died at age 49, there was an added sense of urgency.
So that was my wake up moment.
