I never tried CrossFit. At my age I have to be careful not to extend myself beyond my capabilities. I'm 69. But I am confident that if you stick with the program that you described, you will see definite results. If you are committed, it will happen. emoticon

I am happy with where I am.
I will stay here. One step at a time.

Nothing works for everyone. Like you and adding things to your crossfit, I have been doing Weight Watchers for 5 years and I hav enever done the "pure" WW program. Whatever works best for you.

Hey guys. I'm not sure how many, or if any, of you guys are doing Crossfit where you live/work. I joined Crossfit back in the spring of 2011 and have enjoyed it for the most part. I had some 'maybe-related-but-not-sure' injuries last spring/summer, but started back in November of 2012. Now, just a few months later, I have decided to put it on hold until the end of July in order to get lean.

The problem is that Crossfit, while a great workout, leaves me exhausted...until the next day. While there are some WODs (Workout Of the Day) that incorporate running, I feel that I need more regular cardio opportunities than the WODs allow me. SO what I am doing is "going into the closet" of the gym world to do workout regiments that those of crossfit would probably laugh at....good old DB curls, bench presses, lunges, shoulder presses and the such.

Hopefully with strength training, cardio, and tracking food I'll be good.....I hope!
