MARKH4040--do this: take a photo of yourself, NO SHIRT, from the waist up. Make a couple of copies. Post one on your refrigerator, post the other on the mirror you look at first thing every morning. Reminding YOU how and why you got into the shape your in.

I was where you are, bro. I'll be a heart patient for the rest of my life because of a do/eat whatever I want lifestyle. It took me a daily kick in the butt to make me see the need to change. I now do my own cooking, that let's me know exactly what I'm eating. the kitchen and refrig are my friends again.

Hiya, I joined today from a recommendation of a dietitian. She recommended I reduce meat (all meats) and increase grains, fruits and vegetables I can stand. To lower my cholesterol which is currently at 256.

My goals are to lower my cholesterol to 199, my glucose to 99 and my LDL to the good. In doing so I hope to drop about 30 pounds. I would love to be able to do a few pull ups unassisted.

LOL rough post after the guy who is running a marathon emoticon

When I am home and junk food is around I eat poorly the rest of the time I think I eat well.
