Thanks for all the encouragement. Wish I had a huge beach house to invite folks to....maybe one day after 20 years of working it. I was out of town this weekend at my folks, so my eating wasn't all that great--nothing crazy, just not as good as I want to be doing. I need to get my garage cleaned out so I can get my gym back into working order. My current gym membership runs out at the end of the month and it's near my soon-to-be-former place of employment. I like my garage-gym. It was what I used in 2007 to lose 50+ lbs and I don't see why it can't work again. Thing is a garage of a guy with a 4-month old is a lot different than that of a guy with a 4-year and a 2-year old. Probably not telling you guys anything new there!
Here I am gotta get back into it. Later guys!

Now, that I completely destroyed all that hard work I did loosing weight and getting into shape.
I too am back!!

It's sad but am doing the best I can. I starting to walking 4 min LOL It's lame but it's also my best; hopefully, I'll be able to get that back up there but, the hip and back also took a beating with my lack of self control.

Did have the heart to change my pic. I don't think I'd fit anyway

So I'll be around.

Great Vacation Spot! SUNSET BEACH, NORTH CAROLINA Small, very little commercial arera, wide strand (from dunes to water) Great place to come spend a week, only 20 minutes from Myrtle Beach, House of Blues, shopping etc. Calabash style seafood (fried---yuck!) Nice place to live & work.

Thanks guys for the support/input. What happened??? Well, two children and two jobs sort of complicated or knocked me off my routine. I am a strong believer in the statement that "we all have the same 24 hours in a day" It's about routines and scheduling and I got into a bad routine of not keeping my scheduled exercise and scheduled food intake true to what it needed to be.

The good news is that I submitted my resignation this past Tuesday and will now have only one job! Of course it is a self-employed job and those are the ones we work harder in, but more time with the better of the two jobs and more time with the family is going to help in my life.

Looking at those pictures really was good for me. I had a great workout this morning and a nice 5k run at lunch. Going to the parents' house tomorrow for the weekend and will get a jog or two in there as well. Going to keep logging my food intake and my exercise. I know it's do-able, because I've done it. coming up on beach weather (my full time job now is running our beach store) so feeling/looking good will make this summer a great one. Get ready to see me on here guys---I can be annoying.

MZUNGU- I've been there too... several times over the years. Priorities change and alters lifestyles. Eventually we get grounded again and cover ground already covered... but usually because we want to. I wish you the best! You'll be back to where you were and more.

Dennis

THINK you can do it and you WILL!

I do feel your pain! At the end of 2007, I was at my best weight in YEARS. Then we moved in 2008 and the momentum just fell to pieces (for a number of reasons). Working hard right now to get the "mo" going again. Good luck!

I had a similar experience a few years ago. I lost 50 pounds. Tracked well with SP et. al. But when I got to the low end of weight ... added in some of my 'old' ways of eating. Before you know it ... I was eating too much again and gained back 40 of the pounds!

I needed some accountability partners to help me hold to my plan. I also needed to view my eating/exercise plan as something long term for life, not just until I got to 175 or whatever.

Have you found an eating plan that is sustainable long term and also something that you like?

Do you have one or several accountability partners to check up on you weekly? We tend to meet the expectations of our peers. Gather some folks around you that expect that you will stick with your exercise/eating plans and give them permission to check up on you!

Dan

I just came across some pictures I took of myself in 2008 after my weight-loss / muscle toning and man am I feeling down a bit. Down and ticked off enough to make sure i get back to it--dang i was looking good. Alright, again, once again, I'll start logging every single thing starting tomorrow. All water drinking, weight-lifting, 5k running, and lots of chewing gum! Let's do it!
