For the little I dabled in p90x I see the benefit of pushups: standard, wide, military (in tight and close), decline, and diamond or 'heart to heart'. A cheap and easily done exercise (easier with time that is).

It has a whole workout for beginners. I started with a max of 10 push-ups in two minutes.

I would recommend them. But that is just my very armature opinion.

Haven't used it so can't help, sorry. Are you happy with it? Worth getting one? I was thinking about that last night actually...predictably, while I was doing push-ups :-) But currently I (only?) do 2 sets of 20 beginner push-ups 3 times a week as part of my upper body workout. Not sure if I really need the gear.

Yes, but following the routine they suggest is different. You X chair pushups, X regular, X close (narrow) and X wide. They do work things differently based on the way you spin the device from a vertical alignment to a horizontal alignment.

I thought about just counting them as pushups but am interested in tracking how many of the different kinds I do.

I would count it as a regular pushup. its designed to take the stress off your wrist but it still works the muscle just as well.

I was given the "Perfect Pushup V2" for Christmas and have just completed my first round of using its default workout. I really like it but have not been able to figure out how to enter it into sparkpeople. I think I will set up custom exercises for each day but that sounds like a lot of work. Ant the exercises will change as I advance.

Has anyone out there used this tool and if so how have you documented it use within Sparkpeople?
