I've been doing better foodwise this week myself. Now I have to work on starting to exercise again.

Did you sign up at your store and commit yourself to dieting and exercising?

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

I have been on a plateau most of this year and really should not give any advice.

It helps me sometimes to make mini goals. during the breaks I like to eat raw veggies and fruit. I drink a lot of water. My downfall is at night at home.

I do better when I list everything in the food tracker.

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

First I want to say that I have a cat that looks just like the one in your picture...very cute! My first new goal is more water too, I just got transfered off the front end ( cashier ) to the floor in Electronics. I've worked at Wal-Mart for four years and I always feel like I have to eat on my breaks when I should be resting instead.Im hoping that maybe now that Im on the floor and can move around more that will help me some. If you need a friend to talk to just find me here, we can take all the buddies we can get emoticon

I can relate! I joined SP in January and within 4 months had lost 30 pounds. My husband lost his job at the end of April and I gradually renewed my old bad eating habits and started drinking sodas again. I started working at Wal-Mart just over a month ago and I've even gotten worse since then. I've gained about 10 pounds myself and I feel just as bad as I did at the beginning of the year. I realize that I feel the way I do because I'm not eating well and not exercising. Today is my day off, and instead of getting out and doing something active with my kids, I'm sitting here at the computer reading e-mails. I think part of the reason I haven't done very well is because I haven't spent much time on SP and on the boards. These message boards were always a great source of encouragement for me and I've really gone downhill since I stopped visiting them. I would encourage you by saying to examine yourself and see where you have failed since you started gaining weight again, then focus on one or two areas with mini-goals. For instance, today I decided to get back to drinking water instead of sugary sodas. I know this will be difficult on the days I work because I'm a cashier and I'm scared to drink too much for fear of not being able to get off the register to go to the restroom. I am in a busy store that is always short on cashiers, and we don't always get our breaks on time. Nevertheless, I know I have to get over this fear and increase my water intake if I ever want to feel good and lose weight again. I am usually an all-or-nothing kind of dieter, but I'm trying to use what I've learned in the past on SP to take things one step at a time. So, I'm going to try to control my impulse to get all gung-ho with the food and exercise, and just focus on my water intake. Maybe this will work for you, maybe not. So, long story short, you are not the only one feeling this way and I hope I've said something that is halfway encouraging. The most important thing is to stay in touch and stay active on SP, even if you don't use the tools. Best wishes on meeting your goals!

Hi all, I haven't been on spark in soooo long. I've gained like 12 lbs and feel so horrible!! I wasn't ready for the challange before, but now for my healths sake I have to be. I have trouble keeping up with my two yr old son, and I get tired so fast when I take him out to play. I don't want to be this way anymore, I want to be able to run and play with my kids and enjoy it instead of dreading it cause Im so tired. I can use all the encouragement I can get so please feel free to leave me messages. Thx emoticon
