I used to give up my last break because usually I was in the middle of a project and I wanted to finish it. Then I woke up. The company is changing more and more things, not necessarily to our advantage, and the bonuses of the big bosses get bigger and bigger. Why should I give up my break?

As a matter of fact our management team is pretty strict in that respect and they want us to take our break, just to make sure that nobody can go and sue them about that.

As I get older, I appreciate the breaks more and more. Your body and mind really needs those times to relax.

Three pounds is a pretty large goal. I never try to lose more than a pound. To me that is the healthy way to go and right now it seems to be harder and harder to accomplish.

I wish you well. You've done great so far.

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

Wait...people who work for walmart actually get this Phatom "Last Break"?! Just kidding, but I think that messes me up, because the front end is usually so busy at night that I don't get a last break. Oh well, gotta work around it. My goal for this week is just to lose 3 pounds.

Well, last week was terrible. It was bittercold and I kept having the munchies. I did not gain weight but stayed the same, which is not too bad.

Today we went out to eat at a Chinese buffet which was not the greatest idea we've had. The food was delicious and I ended up eating too much of it. Therefore, I am making today my free day where I don't count any calories and starting tomorrow I will have to stick to my range of calories.

Well, i stayed away from my daughter's chips. Well except for one bowl on Thursday night, which I'd designated cheat night since i was going out for wings with a friend. I've pretty much lost my taste for them. Now I'm addicted to BBQ Bits and bites. I think I need to start adding more spices to my cooking. Maybe if I do that I won't crave the BBQ junk food so much. Hmmm.

We do things like tht too when we hve an associate who is in need. This is a good way to get rid of the items you should stay away from.

Well thanks to an assistant manager hopped up on caffeine, i ended up skipping my last break. But when I got home, I had some plain tortilla chips, while making a taco cheesecake for our charity luncheon on Friday. An associate in our district has his/her house burn down, and the associate had no insurance. So all the stores in the district are getting together to raise funds for this person. We're all making some food, and bringing it in for Friday, and then we'll pay $3 and eat all the food.
I'm still bringing my lunch though. The dish I'm bringing isn't exactly diet-friendly. ;-)

I usually don't have a snack during my last break at work. I have it the minute I come home and then I get started with cooking dinner. This has helped me to not nibble while I cook and helps me to wait until dinner time.

I never ended up having my snack today. I worked through my last break (I know, bad girl) and when I got home, I did my cardio before I could talk myself out of it and then made supper. I didn't want to go to that extreme, but it worked for today! let's see if I can keep up the momentum tomorrow.

Thanks!

I nibble while cooking too. I think maybe your idea of having you're snack when you get home is a good idea. GREAT JOB on the no chips!

Well, the BBQ chips aren't making it to my mouth, but just about everything else in the house is. I have discovered that my trouble time is from 4PM to 530PM or whenever supper is ready. I nibble when I get home. I nibble while making supper. I nibble, nibble, nibble.
I think I may have to save my snack for when I get home and see if that helps.

Congrats on only weighing yourself once yesterday! That's a big hurdle right there!

you still have halloween candy - WOW! our's lasted until the 2nd of Nov. LOL

Next week I will work on more sleep. Baby has to cooperate for that to work. :)

I only weighed myself once today - which is much better than I had been doing. :)

How is avoiding the chips going?

My goal this week is to go to bed at a decent time. I usually don't get more than 5-6 hours sleep which is not enough.

I don't have a problem resisting chips, it't the Christmas cookies and Halloween candies that I have left over.

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

it sure is! When I get that (the chip thing) under control, everything else should just slide into place. Or at least it will feel like it!

Oooh! That was a tough one for me! I'm having some success thanks to Geneen Roth's books. I used to weigh myself every day without fail. I used to be able to guess quite accurately how much to account for if I had a coffee before getting on the scale. It usedto be like taking my emotional tempertaure. What kind of day am I going to have? A good day? A bad day? I couldn't function unless I knew wht I weighed.
Now I can go days wihout weighing myself. I try to make sure I weigh at least once a week though, and I try to use my clothes as a gauge for weight gain or loss. While seeing a two or five pound gain on the scale is depressing, it usually doesn't show up in my clothes. When it does I know I've really been overdoing it.

Let's see... my goal this week is to not eat chips. Not a huge goal, but my daughter loves her snack of BBQ chips at bedtime, but doesn't always finish them. They usually find their way into my mouth, the little buggers. Also, she loves to share them. i've tried telling her that Mommy can't have any chips and that they are just for her, but she'll answer "but you can have just one" or "but we can share" and make some puppy dog eyes and push the chips into my mouth. Sigh. So that's my goal this week. No chips.

I was really interested in seeing what everyone is working on this week.

My goal is to stop getting on the scale. It really has become a problem and just depresses me, so I think I am going to have to restrict my weighing to once a week. It's probably going to be really hard for me to do!
