Hey - I talked to my Dh - who is a manager in the logistics division. and he said your answer is a NO. He's not completely sure about fabrics except to say SC's typically carry less as a dept than a regular WM without grocery, but TLE is one of WM's top grossing specialty divisions and WM is the number one retailer of toys in the US, bigger than Toys r US even. There is no way that WM is going to give that up. He hasn't heard a thing about anything you mention, and he's the one that would be in charge of shipping toys and such to a store, and they would know if WM was phasing them out.

I assumed TLE was tire and lube express. Please let me know if that assumption was wrong. :)

I know it's not happening in Canada but as they open Supercentres here they are cutting back on Fabric available.
The various craft e-groups I belong to are saying that wal-mart will be moving more in home dec fabrics with pre-packaged, pre-measured lengths available.
There is a petition available to try and stop this at

I have been on maternity leave since mid-October and have been out of the loop. Today I went shopping and some of my co-workers said that walmart is doing away with fabric, tle and toys. does anyone know anything about this? It was their understanding that all walmarts were going this way. It is suppose to go along with the changes that shut our layaway down before christmas. emoticon
