We've had to call 9-1-1 for sick customers 3 different times since I began in the pharmacy, security gets called for patients pissed when we refuse sells on pseudo products...has gotten pretty heated on 2 occasions one even threatened our pharmacist... still din't get his way...lol

Ours is a Supercenter... I think they run it like a smaller Walmart though, at least that's my impression talking with those who have transeferred from a smaller one and seen the similarities.

there is a code for customer emergency. at least at our store.
customer emergency: 216
customer needs assistance: 207 (like for help to their car with their items)

every other lane at our store has a phone.
we only have walkies for certain people.

kinda interesting how our stores are different.

Is your store a super center? or the smaller one?

Mine is a supercenter.

I haven't and pray since we don't have phones on any lanes that I don't. I wish there was a code for Customer emergency because the code for customer asking for mgt doesn't get quick response. Depending on who our CSM is it can be very hard to track someone with a walkie down to call for help.

I did!
a customer was getting ready to pay for her order.
she then told me she was feeling ill.

She was older, like maybe in the sixties.

She then said she felt faint!

Since there was a phone at my register, I picked it up and called for a manager to come to lane... whatever it was.

I then had her sit/lean on the bag carosel behind her.

Wow, within 5 secs I think there were like 5 managers at my lane!

They took over and helped her.

I was impressed by their great response!

His mercies are new every morning.
