Colorado is a pretty state. I've enjoyed my journeys through it. A good friend of mine (over 50 years) was living in Colorado Springs when he was killed in a one car wreck last year. His widow still lives there. I am sorry we were never able to connect before his demise. Anyway, I've through the northern and southern part of the state. The last time we were there we stopped at Canon City and road the train through the canyon, it was very enjoyable. The grandkids loved it. Hope you get back to work soon. My working days are over with, I hope.

Today is a miserable day here in Colorado too. The high is supposed to be around 45 degrees which I don't believe. Yesterday we had snow and today it is raining and sleeting. The sky looks gray and the rest resembles fog. It is a great day to spend in bed.

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

What ever works. I know I need to start exercising again. I am just a bit lazy to get out of nice warm bed on a cold morning to do it. Right now at 10:18 am it is 48 degrees outside here in green contry (NE Ok.)

Larry, when I go back to work I will try the pedometer out again. I will probably put on my sock since I don't wear belts.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Keep it up.

I wore one on my belt. As a member of the floor crew I averaged between 5 and 6 miles a day not counting the time I was driving the scrubber. They do work.

I put it on the side of my sock. Today was a very busy day since it was Super Bowl Day. I went in at 5am and didnt get off until 4:45 and total I had 19714 steps. I was wore out. LOL

kim, welcome to our group. I would never have thought to put it on my sock. Do you put it in the front then? I'll have to try that.

Since I've been having problems with arthritis in both knees since last fall, I will have to reconfigure my meter since my steps are awful small these days.

Congratultions on your weight loss so far. Must be terribly hard being around food all day.

Try putting it on your sock. Every step you take will register. I am the Dept manager over the deli in our supercenter and I average around 14000 per day because I am always going. Good Luck

I sometimes wear it at work also, just to see how many steps I am doing. I turn it off when I am stocking or do my paperwork. It is not accurate when you stop and do things because it registers every movement.

This may not be a good example, but pulling your pants up or down (using the restroom) can bring a minimum of 7 steps.

I wore one for a few days to see what i was walking in a day. I was on the courtesy desk at the time. I was averaging 10,000 steps on a good day. I had my doubts like you, so I counted my steps from the front of the store to the back, then did some mental figuring. For me, it was actually pretty accurate. I think as a cashier, I would have removed it while on my cash, and put it back on anytime I walked away, like to the lunch room or to do some zoning.

Home is where the military sends us.

Has anyone tried to wear one to work? How acurate is it for you? Being a cashier I don't feel it calculates my steps correctly.
