***Don't forget to watch The Biggest Loser episode on Jan 27, featuring Walmart store 4458!!***

Begin the Pound for Pound Challenge Today!

We now have a special tie into that campaign for our Associates and it can help support your PSP.
The Personal Sustainability Project is all about improving your personal well-being and strengthening your community. The Pound for Pound Challenge (PFP) does just that. It encourages healthier lifestyles through a weight loss challenge and helps to secure groceries for food banks across America and right here at home.
Starting January 17, simply log onto and click on the Pound for Pound Challenge icon.
Pledge the amount of weight you plan to lose between now and April (no more than two pounds per week which is a safe amount). Once there you will find tools to help you achieve your goals including healthy recipes, tips from NBC's "The Biggest Loser" trainers and more.
As you scale back on food, others will gain. For every pound you lose, a donation will be made to the nation's leading charitable hunger-relief organization Feeding America - enough to provide one pound of groceries to local food bank.
Go back to the site between April and May 5 to report your total weight loss. This will allow the proper donations to be made to our local food banks.
The Pound for Pound Challenge is being offered in partnership with General Mills and NBC's Biggest Loser show. Tune into the show Tuesday nights for more motivation.
And on the January 27, episode, watch Walmart Store #4458 (Holly Springs, North Carolina) featured on the Healthy Living/kitchen make-over segment. You'll see how celebrity chef Curtis Stone teaches contestants just how easy it is to shop for healthy foods at Walmart.
We think that PFP is a great fit for a PSP! So join the Pound for Pound Challenge today. And while you're at it---why not encourage a little friendly competition right within your own store.

*** You can actually back date your start date to 12/15/08, so if you've lose weight since then, you can include that in your final total that you will enter in April. There isn't a place to go and weigh in every week, so if you need to keep a running total, feel free to reply to this post.
