Never give up! It took me months to be sober. A lot of writing and praying and step work, falling and getting back up again.

I wish I could say that I stuck to my goal, but no, I succumbed to the chocolate in the break room. I feel sick now, emotionally and physically.

Thank you for posting and sharing your experience SKRIBBLEZ.

I did a brief first step this morning myself, I realized that I am in danger of slipping back. I have kept my sobriety Thanks to the Gods. But it is getting shakier.

Together we are stronger! Thank you all for being a part of the team.

Kelly

Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over food--that our lives had become unmanageable.

I am COMPLETELY powerless over food. The weight I've gained is a testament. I will ask for help when I am feeling like I want or need to eat something unhealthy or binge.

Principle 1: Honesty

I will be honest with my sponsor about what I'm eating, even if I'm not proud of it.

Tradition 1: Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon OA unity.

I will reach out to other people in OA to offer support, not just to ask for help. I will give what I have away and keep it in the process.

Spiritual Principle 1: Unity

I will view my "competition" at the gym as part of my team and encourage instead of try to "beat" people. I will be my own competition.

Tool of Recovery 1: A Plan of Eating

I will establish and follow a plan of eating that works. I will discuss this and make adjustments as necessary under the guidance of my sponsor and personal trainer.
