I like doing the spaghetti squash, too. I haven't had pasta in weeks.

I think I am turkied out, too. I will eat it for lunch I think, and I have to finish stripping the frame. My son said he will take a lot of it to freeze for lunches for work. Next year I am getting a significantly smaller turkey. We haven't finished this size bird two years in a row.

I can actually do pretty good with pasta, bread is one of my many downfalls! I also do this with spaghetti squash, it is actually pretty good.

Good morning team! Back at work and just trying to catch up on email really quickly. I thought I would take a minute to say Hi!

Sunday is here! These days "off" did not go as I planned. I cooked on Wednesday, but also worked from home. Thursday morning I went for a nice 5 mile run and then finished the ham. We don't eat turkey very often (it has to be fried or smoked for my husband), but ham is our protein during the holidays. Then we packed everything and picked up our son on our way to our friends house. Its a tradition where we spend our holidays always with them, great friends, lots of food, their grand kids running around and having fun. I got only one call from Asia right after dinner, which is good - I was able to spend most of the evening with friends. Friday I cooked again for us and we have been eating dressing, mac and cheese and ham ever since. I also worked. Saturday, I actually went to work for about 6 hrs. Finished few things that were urgent and then came home. I had a great run this morning, and now I'm planning to make ham-hash with some leftover potatoes and ham for today and for tomorrow, I'm making a quiche with some more left over ham!

GOOD MORNING SPARKLING SPARKIES! MY FAMILY GATHERS AT THANKSGIVING RATHER THAN CHRISTMAS. MY MOM IS 92 YEARS OLD AND SHE LIVES IN PLYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS, "HOME OF THE PILGRIMS". SO THE FAMILY GATHERS AT HER HOME, MOST COMING FROM OUT OF STATE. AND OUR TRADITION IS THAT WE EAT DESERT FIRST! THANK YOU MOM! FORTUNATELY, THE FOOD STAYS AT MOM'S BECAUSE I LIVE IN ARIZONA, SO NO FOOD TRAVELING HOME WITH ME ON THE PLANE.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, CHRISTMAS ALWAYS REVOLVED AROUND THE CHURCH BECAUSE MY DAD (WHO PASSED AWAY 5 YRS AGO) WAS A UNITED METHODIST MINISTER, SO CHURCH WAS MANDATORY. I ENJOYED THE ADVENT SEASON BEFORE CHRISTMAS AS EACH WEEK, A FAMILY IN THE CHURCH WOULD LIGHT THE ADVENT CANDLES IN ANTICIPATION OF CHRISTMAS AND THE BIRTHDAY OF CHRIST.

Didn't get to the gym today as I'd hoped, but staying out of the "rat's race" out & about isn't so bad. Worked on cleaning out STUFF that keeps accumulating. emoticon Also cut out squares for a quilt top. Sorted and cleaned and still hardly see the floor in one corner. Oh well, I've got my steps in for today!

Just a few leftovers in the house. What to do for dinner tomorrow!? I could go for some homemade chicken noodle soup, but I don't think anyone else would be interested!?

Hi all, okay, the pie has got to disappear! Thank god the pumpkin pie is already gone, now there is the apple pie. Someone has got to eat it so I don't. I

I baby sat yesterday, I told my granddaughter we could make cut out cookies so we did. They turned out very pretty, she is 4 so they are very colorful with lots of sprinkles. The cookies I can resist. My SIL loves them though so they will go quickly.

And marriage makes a big change. I had a conversation with my son Thanksgiving night about what the future is going to look like if he and his girlfriend do end up getting married. Family/holiday sharing is going to be a big issue for them.

Meanwhile, I am officially declaring it quits on the stuffing,. There is still leftover but it is not my friend. I know that I am still going to be having dessert--although I can say that I have been better than I normally am with that.

Without a car, I haven't gotten to the gym at all this week so exercise is not being done. I keep hoping that I will get my problem resolved this week so that I can get back to normality.

Barbara, my favorite Christmas memories are when my brothers and I would get to visit my parents at the same time with our families. We would have fun with the kids all day and then when they went to bed we would stay up, eat the snack foods my mom made and play games. Just the grownups but it was so much fun, I do miss my brothers. It seems like once your parents pass on you see much less of each other when you live far apart. My husband and I are making a point of seeing our brothers, he has 1 and I have 2. We saw his just a few weeks ago and are making plans to go see my brothers in Texas.

Frannie, we are on the same page, especially since my daughter lives out of state. Now that they have moved to Seattle, the plan is for them to come down for THanksgiving every year. It is such a delight to have my grandson here, and like you, the "adults" (myself, daughter, son-in-law and son) had alot of fun after the baby went to bed.

Hello everyone, hope your holiday was as nice as mine. We had a very nice meal and then sat around and chatted and laughed in the evening. I love that I can still get all 3 of them together for the holidays. I have to be flexible but it doesn't matter to me as long as I get to see them.

Happy Thanksgiving! My daughter and her family will be getting on a plane shortly to come visit for a few days. I am just waiting for the hurricane that is my grandson to hit!!

I did my desserts yesterday, chopped the vegs for the stuffing and made the cranberry relish. I'm going to take at look at my turkey soon to see if he needs a last minute bath to finish his thawing, and then into the oven for him. I have a smallish kitchen, and only one oven, so Thanksgiving is always a military style plan as far as timing--this comes out, so that goes in!!

I have to share this mashed potato recipe. It's virtually guilt free and my family will never know. I boiled 5 very large russets, drained and fluffed them up with the hand mixer. I added 8 oz reduced fat Daisy sour cream, 6 oz fat free cream cheese, salt, and half a cup of skim milk. I mixed it all up with the hand mixer. They're light and airy and there was no fat used to prepare them. Tomorrow I'm going to pile them in a slow cooker, add some chives and adjust the seasonings, cover and put on low for 2-3 hours. No one will be the wiser that I didn't use a ton of butter and full fat milk.

Barbara, my fridge is also taken up by Tom Turkey but I am going to brine mine in an ice chest later today so it will make room for my make ahead potatoes and pies. If I had another cooler I would store my pies in that but I only have 1. I worked on cleaning out the fridge a few days ago to try and make room.

My house is a mess, thank god it is only my kids coming over. I am trying to get rid of a lot of belongings so I keep going through things, the more you do that though the more you seem to discover! I took a lot of it into the basement so we can just pull it out when Amvets comes to pick it up. But there is so much more. And the basement needs a good cleaning out also, I have stuff from my mom's house that I just put away and have never gone through. I don't want to keep all of it so I have to go through it so I can get rid of what I don't need. I don't know where we put all this stuff but now that I am pulling it out it seems to take up the whole house! I really want to pare down a lot. I am so tired of having things I just don't really need because they are sentimental or I might need it one day.

I was a complete bum yesterday--although I did a lot of knitting on the throw I am making for my grandson (hopefully done for Christmas!!). Today I am going to make my desserts and cranberry relish. I am making a Chocolate Decadence Cake that will be a birthday cake for the entire family since we don't get to be with each other on our actual birthdays, the other dessert are cranberry oatmeal bars that looked good. I wish there were something else I could make today, but I am just not sure how things would stand up. Unfortunately, the other insurmountable problem is that, with Tom Turkey finishing up his defrosting, there is NO room in my refrigerator!!

Good morning ladies, it is a really nice day here. I am getting ready to run to the store and then bake pies. If I can get the pies and the potatoes done today then tomorrow will not be very hard at all. I will also make the cranberry sauce today. I keep getting more requests for different veggies, it is funny, One wants brussel sprouts, another wants green beans, my husband wants acorn squash! We won't eat nearly that much so I am going to make small amounts, and I am roasting them so everything can cook together!

Char and Barbara, hope you both feel better, there has been a nasty cold around here but so far I have managed to stay healthy (knock on wood!), with my luck I will wake up sick tomorrow. Stay rested and hydrated both of you.

I am not feeling up to par. I wouldn't call it sick, but for me, it is. Just feel blah. I'm trying to take it super easy today, because tomorrow starts cooking for Thanksgiving and my family will be here on Thursday. I can't be sick with my 3 year old grandson around!

Hello everyone,

I went to gym to a spinning class today, feeling good and ready to take on the marathon day today! My last call with Asia is ending at 8:30 pm tonight, so my day will be again over 12 hrs.
Tomorrow, I'm off - and cooking. I cook also pretty light, don't really use much fat on anything - the fat in my dressing is from canned cream of mushrooms and the giblets. Otherwise, I have cornbread and veggies in it.
Frannie, I like what you are doing. I don't have time to do it yet this holiday, but I have 10 days over Christmas holiday and plan to do a lot of purging at that time. I'm taking my stuff to Goodwill.

Char, we watch that too, I did get to see it all last night. My daughter and I did disagree on who should go. I wanted Nick to go she wanted Carlos to go!

Okay, I love taking the 3 days before Thanksgiving for vacation, I get to be alone and do as I please for 3 days but this time my SIL is sick so he is home all day and my husband is not working today and tomorrow, these guys need to get with the program and go to work!

I got a lot done yesterday, I am going through stuff and getting rid of a lot. I still have more to go through, hoping to get a bunch of it done today. I just want to simplify a bit and get rid of the things I am not using. My biggest challenge will be my kitchen but I am not quite ready to approach that.

Someone said that they feel ok with a little excess for one day, and I am, too. Of course, I don't cook with an excessive amount of fat, nor do I serve super fattenint, or heavyily sugary food, so I don't feel that our meal is bad at all.

Meanwhile, not having a car has made my gym excursions fewer each week, but it might be a good thing. I had some problems a month or so ago with an old leg issue cropping back up. It is bothering me again but at a much reduced level. So I am going to try to be even more careful with it.

It sounds like everyone has a plan for Thanksgiving. The muffins sound like a good idea, I too would have a riot on my hands if I tried that, but I could do a few in muffin tins and then either stuff the bird or put the rest in a baking pan. I am going to try to keep the veggies low cal by roasting them and then making a balsamic reduction and a cheese sauce for those who want it. That way it can be low cal if you want it that way. I am also going to make my mom's skinny gravy but I am not telling anyone. She would brown the flour in a pan with cooking spray and then add the pan drippings after she de-fatted them. It tasted really good and no one ever realized there was no fat.

Hello everyone, getting ready for very short work week. I'm going to the office for 2 days only next week - maybe work a little from home the other days... depending how many urgent issues will come up.
This past week was really crazy work wise, I did not have time to run except Monday and Tuesday. I did yoga the other days, just to keep moving.

I will make mac and cheese, but not the traditional one - instead I'm adding corn into it and put it in a pie crust. It's really good and everyone loves it. I also make a ham (no turkey in our house, if it's not fried or smoked), corn bread dressing, some pickled beets (that's a Finnish thing for me and my son) and possibly sweet potato pie, that's the kind everyone wants.

For me Thanksgiving is the best holiday, I don't mind eating one day too much - when I know that the following day is back to the normal healthy.

I hope you all have a great week!

Danielle, I like the idea of the stuffing muffins but my son would kill me!! Thanksgiving is one meal that I am not allowed to mess with, and his stuffing is his favorite part of it. I am going to try some butternut squash soup to start this year, and he was dubious about that--and he loves it!

You can make pumpkin pie pudding using 2 packages sugar-free vanilla pudding, 3 1/2 cups milk of choice like unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 cup canned pumpkin, about 1/2 -3/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. nutmeg, 1/8 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp. ginger. I like to top mine with a few graham cracker crumbs and a little cool whip.

My DH has created a new dish for me this Thanksgiving, and I've already tried it and love it - mashed cauliflower to eat with gravy instead of mashed potatoes! He picks up the flavor with garlic and a bit of cream cheese, milk and butter.

Good morning, all!
Nice chilly Saturday here in Central PA.
Really enjoy meeting some of you.

So, another small thing I'm going to try, for portion control, is something I've read about but not yet done - make stuffing for Thanksgiving in muffin tins. It sounds like a nifty idea, and that way I can have one and be done. In theory. :)

I'll let you know how it goes, but I just thought it was a really great idea, and that way, the little stuffin muffins (:)!) can be easily frozen for later nomming, and also if people want more on Thanksgiving day, they can have more, as well.

We're going with the cornbread stuffing type, but I'm pretty sure it would also work w/ white bread style stuffing, too.

Enjoy your time off, your weekends, your free time, and take care everyone!
and thanks to the nice ladies who reached out to me individually.
Dannielle

Hey all, happy Saturday. I am off now for the week. I always try to take the week off for Thanksgiving. We actually get Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off so I only end up taking 2 days vacation. I am trying to decide what to cook for Thanksgiving, some of it is the same as always but I do try new veggie side dishes now and again. I think I have it set but I always see something and change my mind up until Wednesday.

Ghostflames, I always do that when I am off. The days get mixed up so easily. I have to do my house cleaning today, it is not pretty right now.

I'm going to a potluck tomorrow. I know that the hostess is grilling, and I will just try to be reasonable as far as the rest of the food is concerned. Since it will be two meals for me--lunch and dinner--it is more calories to spread out.

Hello and thank you so much for the invite.

Even though if the gathering does not expect it,
When I go to social gatherings I bring 2 major foods I know are good for me and that I LOVE in hopes to "SPARK" someone else and keep me in a "SAFE ZONE".
So I bring a Giant salad bowl and of course one of my Healthy low carb fat burning desserts.
We can do this! Keep on keep'n on...

We have a special lunch each month in our elementary building, everyone brings something. Today is the lunch for November and it is the Dip and Chip lunch. I cannot even go into the teacher's lounge! It will not be a healthy experience so I am eating lunch in my office and avoiding the teacher's lounge altogether. If I go up there I will eat too much, there is no way I will be able to control myself. So I ordered an unwich (no bread) from Jimmy John's and I will have a nice lo-cal lunch today.

Gyms are great, but for me lately, I like a short walk outside at lunch time. Gets me up and out of the office for fresh air and sunshine!

Danielle, I have no excuses, since I live in Southern California, but I find it difficult to go out and walk. WHich is why my gym membership is so vital to me. I make myself go and work. This morning I had to walk for a distance so I felt virtuous! I was out for about 30 minutes.

Hi all, I am glad this week is almost over, I have next week off (I always take Thanksgiving week off) and will have lots of time to get my cooking done.

Danielle, I agree, I hate being cold so I bundle up in the winter with good layers so I can get out and get some exercise. The only problem I run into is the icy sidewalks after the snow has melted a bit. It can stick around here for several weeks.

Hope you all are having a good day!

Hi ladies,

First-time poster here - I tend to not be real consistent in posting, but did want to just jump in and say hi and introduce myself and maybe throw out a couple of things that seem to help me during winter.

I'm Dannielle and I live in PA - 54, married, mother of 2. Done SparkPeople, WW and now back to Spark. Am pretty close to my goal weight, but have found I really need daily logging and reassurance in order to stay there.

I've found that I tend to chunk up a bit during winter because I just plain old don't like to be cold, especially my feet (!), and - going outdoors makes me cold in winter! So, I've invested in some decent gear that will help me stay warm, which in turn helps me get out the door. When I say decent gear, I mean from head to toe - good quality shoes or boots, socks, pants that'll stay dry, coat that'll stay dry, hat and gloves and neck thingies that will really help me stay warm.

When I do get out, it tends to be a good experience, and then reinforces wanting to go out again the next day. And the next. It doesn't have to be super expensive to get good stuff - lots of decent stuff at discount stores and sites (online and brick/mortar). But for me, when I actually invested in myself, like I was serious about getting outdoors and being comfortable, was when I actually did start getting outdoors more, even when weather was crummy.

That's it for today :)

Thanks for being here, and thanks for reading.

Dannielle

I'll be going to Boston for T'giving this year. My newly married niece is hosting, but she's been the T'giving cook for years. Her husband is an extremely picky and allergic eater, so we'll see if she sticks to her healthy usuals. (He's allergic to anything in the onion/garlic family and would prefer to eat steak, potatoes and broccoli for every meal. Niece has gotten him to try a few new foods, he's up to 30 now.)

Got my sinkups in, will attack something else this afternoon or later this morning. I have a few kinks from yesterday to work out! I may drag out my yoga dvd, we'll see. One last day of decent weather for a while today, I ought to get out and clean out the car!

I signed up to have Thanksgiving at our senior center with hubby and my Mom as well as some of her neighbors, will be like a party, don't know what they will serve but I think they let you pack it to go if you want, keeping my fingers crossed about the calories

I have to laugh Barbara, this year my SIL suggested that we change up the Thanksgiving menu a bit, you would have thought he had just suggested we don't have it at all! My daughter was appalled. We are compromising with tradition in some dishes and new in others. I will be making the same mashed potatoes, the same dressing and the same turkey but I will also be trying at least 1 new vegetable side. Right now I am leaning toward a Brussels sprout and butternut squash recipe. I am also looking at variations on the cranberry sauce I make and a new sweet potato recipe. Everyone seems okay with this plan! They are okay with me experimenting with 1 pie as long as we have apple pie. So funny!

My Thanksgiving menu doesn't change form year to year at the requests of my children, but it is not a bad one. I've never made the super fattening dishes that are considered traditional. We do have dessert, but for one day, it is not a terrible thing.

All right! I'm psyched! I did great yesterday with food, have my day planned out for today, I've already got a short walk in, did my sink ups and calf raises, will do my weight routine, all before my Qigong class at noon!

Will have cottage cheese with fruit for lunch and a lemony pork cutlet with baked sweet potatoe fries and a salad for dinner. I have cider to drink and nuts to nosh on if I need a snack, but I'm feeling quite motivated just now, so maybe I can get through the day!

Good morning all, happy hump day! It should be a busy day, everyone is looking at test scores from the state and they are going to have many questions about how to aggregate them from the file the state gives you. it takes quite a bit of manipulation to make it useful and easy to sort and filter. It is also time to start checking our kids for this years test, we have to submit a bunch of data to the state and we need to make sure what we send up is accurate.

Cynthia, I am the one making Thanksgiving so it is going to be a bit healthier this year. I will make some favorites like mashed potatoes but veggies are probably going to be roasted this year instead of the au gratins or cheese sauced that my family loves. They really like roasted veggies too so I wont get too much push back. I can avoid the gravy and limit amounts of other things so I will end up with a good meal. The biggest issue will be pies, I have a pie loving family and they expect them. I love pie too but have found that if I eat a small slice it does make me happy and doesnt kill the day. I am not sure which pies I will make but the requests are coming in!

Ghostflames, lucky you! I am off next week. I always take some vacation days so I get the whole week off for Thanksgiving.

Madde, hope your day is not too crazy!

BUTEAFULL, I need a new fridge, I am envious. It is definitely not in the cards right now though.

AILULI, I am so glad you decided to post, it is what we are here for.

Guys, keep posting, keep talking, keep asking for help. I need your support for sure to help me on this journey to good health. That is definitely my goal, not so much weight loss, although that would be really nice, but mostly I want to stay healthy as long as I can and I definitely need help with that!

Morning! Gearing up for a crazy day. Already edited a document and sent it off to my boss. Next three days will be a challenge.

I completely agree with tracking. When I track, it keeps me accountable to myself. I also have a little digital food scale which prevents underestimating on some items. When I see something I want and it is difficult to track or find in the SP database, I tend to avoid it - too much of a hassle. The strategy has been pretty effective thus far. For Thanksgiving, I will bring a dish to share that is healthy. My family already knows I'm really watching my cholesterol so white meat without skin will be my choice. I'm bringing my little food scale so I can at least have some semblance of accuracy with my daily food but I'm not going to get obsessive about it. I'm planning to enjoy that day - within reason.

Jumpup, good to hear from you! We all need to up our game and help each other get through the next couple of months. Sounds like most of you have a plan, but if you don't we are here to cheer you through.

I went to a conference today for our student management program, it was pretty productive. They had coffee cake for breakfast, not so good but my lunch was a Mediterranean wrap with spinach, hummus, tomatoes and goat cheese. So yummy, and I did not finish it. I did eat my cookie and chips though, I just cannot resist potato chips. I don't bring them home anymore because I cannot stay out of them. Calorie wise it was not horrible though. I didn't eat much when I got home, we are having tacos for dinner. I made my own refried beans so they could be fat free and lower sodium than what you can buy in the store. I do think food is my biggest issue though. When I don't track I overeat for sure. I am trying to track more!

Hi guys! So glad to be back at this site! Somehow I missed the message and until Frannie sent a SparkMail, I had more or less gotten out of the habit.

Had a beautiful 2 weeks visiting DD and wonderful adorable grandbabies last month, can't wait to go back.

Will be spending T'giving with niece and her new husband and the rest of the fam in Boston this year. Looking forward to seeing her new digs!

I have hit a major plateau in my weight loss with 30 some pounds to go. I think I am eating more than I should be. I take several exercise classes as well as do my own routine at home, but I have slacked off quite a bit the last couple months. And I see that the scale is stuck.

What bad timing, with the holidays upon us! I will have to redouble my efforts and awareness and start tracking my food intake again!

Glad to be back!

Happy Tuesday, thank you for the invite - I don't remember when I posted here last! I signed up for a marathon on December 6, so I have been able to keep my exercise up for the past 6 months while training.

Usually I have trouble with the holidays but I think this year will be much better. I was diagnosed with very high cholesterol and am determined to lower it with diet and exercise. My doctor, who I also work for (I'm an RN) gave me 2 months and 10 pounds and then re-run my lipid panel. I'm already 6 pounds down so the holidays are a non-food-entity for me at this point.

Hi, it's Monday and I missed my run this morning. Just would be making excuses if I said it was anything but not wanting to get up at 5 am on a drizzly Monday morning. Working on my food and and my fitness. My husband and I started a C25K this week and are working toward a 5K in January. Trying to plan and prep our meals on Saturday and Sunday, this really helps me when I'm tired at the end of a workday. emoticon

Nice to see so much activity!

I knew that my soreness was temporary--it was largely because, as many have mentioned, I had been less active than normal for the last few weeks. I hope to be back to speed soon, but I am taking it slow to avoid hurting myself!

One important thing to remember about exercise--and diet--is to do what you can not necessarily what you want to. I have tried eating too little--and we all know what kind of disastrous results can come about, from the binging that frequently follows abnormal deprivation,. Same with exercise--I have worked so hard and hurt something which took weeks to heal!! So be careful out there!!

Rachelle, I am glad you decided to come join our chat, while it is not like having people in person it is a good way to get some support when you need it! Wow, Senior Olympics, that is awesome, keep us all posted.

Buteafull, I feel you! I did great, lost my weight and was eating really well, exercising regularly and then I brought my mom to live with me when she was diagnosed with small cell cancer. Caring for her was my priority so exercise took a back seat, I had to be with her. Food became whatever I could get her to eat to gain weight, I cooked like a Food Network Chef! I think I put Paula Deen to shame, but it was totally worth it. We got 2 years with her before she passed (the oncologist she saw before she came to me said 12 14 months at most). Now I am struggling to lose the weight again and get my good habits back, not easy. My husband was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes so I have extra reason to get healthy.

Dolphin225, Let us know how the dehydrator goes, should be interesting! I am planning on no sugar at work (schools are the worst!) and exercise at least 5 days a week. I grow tomatoes but had not thought of dehydrating them. I make tomato sauce usually (this was not a good year where I live so I didnt make any).

I am so glad you all posted, come back and chat with us, let us get to know you. Spark teams are a great way to get support and motivation, we are glad you are here! We are here for you, so many of us share your challenges. Being on a team like this one gives you interaction with people who have similar life experience and similar issues.

I will just keep working out and watching what I eat. I recently got a dehydrator so I will be experimenting with dehydrating some of the veggies I grew this year and see how they work when they are rehydrated. I hope to get to 200 by the first of the year and continue working down until I make my goal weight. Wish me luck and happy holidays to you all ladies...Spark on!

I've fallen off the wagon, my weight is back up to it's highest again, I only go to the gym when I take my Mom for her training sessions. I used to walk 5 miles a day and my body got used to that, now I average less than a mile a day, I drive everywhere instead of walking everwhere. I'm getting ready for 2 big trips, one to San Antonio with my hubby, and one to Paris with a group of 300 people for New Years

Hi Everyone!

I'm pretty sure this is my first post here, but I'm told there's no time like the present to start, eh? lol

Rainy fall Monday morning here, but the temp isn't too bad - 55. It rained all day yesterday, but seemed colder.

As far as the holidays, we decided to make a crockpot full of cider and then fix a veggie tray, salad, cauliflower mashed potatoes and a raw lasagne for the main dish.

For my exercise, I'm currently doing kettlebells 3x/week; burning 1200 calories a workout, so I think I'm staying on track. In January, I'll start swimming again to qualify for the Senior Olympics.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy Monday morning team! It is not too bad here but supposed to rain most of the week. I had a real nice walk to work though so I can't complain!

Barbara, it will get better, soreness does go away after a bit. We did this PIYO thing here at work one day, I thought I was going to die! Then the next 3 days I was so sore. It takes something like that to really pin point those areas you are not working enough.

Holidays are coming up guys, what are you going to do to help you stay healthy during this season of eating? How are you going to maintain your fitness during the winter months (for those of us unlucky enough to have really unpleasant winters)? Let us know what your tips and tricks are!
