For the most part… I usually put the nunchuck in my hand… and do the exercise. I have lots of trouble with the squats also… so I do the squats but I manually move the nunchuck in my hand for it to recognize the moves. It is pretty annoying… but I haven't found another way to deal wit it yet! If you do... let us know! Thanks,

As far as the running, I just keep the remote in my right hand and the nunchuck in my left hand and the wii registers my running MUCH more acurately than when I put the nunchuck in the strap (it always said I was running too slow no matter how fast I was going!)

I also got a wireless nunchuck and really like it.

I love having the wireless nunchuck. My husband bought me one as a present when I finished my 2nd 30 day challenge and it has been great. Some people might think giving your wife an accessory for her fitness equipment would mean a quick trip to the doghouse (right up there with buying her a vacuum as a present) but I was thrilled!

I just got a wireless nunchuck..... invest in one. No more worrying about the cord snagging my poytail , slapping my face for overhead lifts or twisted cables to fix between sets.

And I don't pull the nunchuck from the remote now which happens on some moves. Less worry about enough slack between the leg band and the remote too.

Technique seems better now that I am not concerned with the cable.

i have to agree with 70dragonfly, i believe you have to have the strap up high on your thigh and make sure the nunchuck is facing the right way in the strap too. There is a section in the instruction that might help you, i believe it's at the beginning when you select either 30 day challange or preset workout, i think there is a section on the bottom for Help, there are some helpful tricks there too. hope this helps!

It might just have to do with the positioning on your leg. I find that I have to sometimes manually tilt the nunchuck (slightly) for it to recognize when I have stood up from a squat or lunge to the right. For me and the shape of my leg, I guess, I have the band up very high on my thigh (otherwise it feels as if it will just fall down). Might want to check the position of the sensor on your tv. A slight adjustment might make a difference as well.
I'm interested to hear anyone else's remedies!

Hey, everyone. I can say that I've been truly enjoying the Wii and especially AE Sports Active. I was having difficulties with the remote, but I got that straightened out. I'm wondering if my nunchuck isn't working as well as it should. It seems to have difficulties recognizing my squats.

When I do squats, I can be totally parallel with the floor and it thinks I'm only partially down. In order for it to recognize my squat most times, I have to almost rest my butt on my heels, which is not good for the knees. This also causes problems on the inline skating and running.

Any thoughts? Positioning? I know it's not batteries. Thanks for your help!

Terri
