I could not find the band that came with it. I am thinking the kids have it somewhere so I did the curls etc but without a band. I am already in PT for my shoulders, I think I will ask her Monday if she can get me one!

Those who can, DO!

I did my first workout with the EA Sports Active today and I found myself switching back and forth between my own resistance bands, which are tubes, and the ones that came with the game. The one that came with the game were too long or too loose or something for things like the bicep curls and the rows, but they were good for shoulder raises and probably for other moves that go over my head - any tricep raises or moves like that.

The biggest thing I ran into using my own bands was having to hold the handles and the remotes. My hands aren't very big, so this was a bit of a challenge for me. :)

I bought the (3 pack) of bands at Walmart and even though they weren't as long as the one that came with the EA Active I made them work. At first it was very hard to finish the reps because they were so much shorter, but now I can do it and only struggle with the last couple reps because of the resistance.

The resistance band that comes with the game is starting to tear, so I got a new one - a Gold's Gym resistance tube. It works as long as I don't use the handles that come with the new one. I have to turn them and hold it by the straps (if that makes sense), so that the remotes still are in the correct positions. Otherwise, it tells me I'm holding them wrong.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Interesting. I have done two of my 30 day challenge workouts so far and I tried several my own resistance bands and still didn't like it. The remotes and band handles get all balled up in my hands. I found that I wanted to skip the band exercises rather than hurt my hands and knuckles. What I'm thinking of trying instead is just get some arm/wrist weights to strap on and forget the hassle of the bands altogether. Hopefully, that will simplify things. I'm also annoyed with the nunchuck cord slapping all around, lol. Other than that, I really am enjoying this game. It gives one heckuva work out.

Peggy, thanks for posting the product information for the bands! I'm about to start my first 30 day challenge on EASA and I just know the band that came with it is going to break on me!

I like the resistance tubes better also. They give you more of a workout than the band. I got mine at Walmart.

I use a pilates set which makes shoulder presses pretty much impossible to do -- just SO HARD. I suppose that's better than too easy though right?? I just about kill myself every time haha

Hi everyone, I got the resistance kit from best buy. They are the tubes, which I think are better than the bands. The handles are made like the band we got in the game. However, if not held just right, it could be very painful to hold. It is called the Psyclone-Resistance Band Kit for Nintendo Wii-PX6924 SKU: 9408697. I'm sorry it took so long to answer. I haven't been around for a couple of days. HTH.

I got a set of 3 at Wal-Mart but found they weren't long enough. Hubby went to the local physical therapist and she cut me a strip that was long enough and only charged us 5 bucks.

I finally got my resistance band kit for Sports Active. It has 3 levels of resistance. When I tell you it was a big difference using those bands rather than the one that came with the game. My arms were definitely feeling it when my workout ended yesterday. I love it.
