I am learning so much. I also have a hard time with the holding squats. I like the idea of putting my back against the wall. I don't have any trouble with the regular squats but those holding squats are killing me.

DXTREME45 is absolutely right!! Also make sure the button on top of the NC faces to the right. It makes all the difference I think!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, margarita in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally wornout and screaming, "WOO HOO!! What a Ride!!!

PapaJRock, that sounds difficult. Especially if you don't have anyone there to hold the nunchuck. Just make sure that you put the nc in the leg brace with the knob facing downward. I learned that when I first started. I kept putting the chuck in with the knob facing up.

I to found at first that the squats would nt register with the unit sometimes. What I found out was that if you have someone who can help, have them hold the nunchuck in their hand. When you start they hold it strait up and down, then as you squat and hold your remote strait in front of you. They raise the nunchuck horizontal. Go in sync with each other. You will be so glad that you wont be held up anymore.

I couldnt even get into the right position to do the dang squats! It kept telling me to go lower, I was yelling at the TV, "Its phyiscally impossible to go lower!!!" I may have had the leg strap on too low or something though, lol.

Where are you from? I got mine from Future Shop. But you can get it at Wal-Mart as well. It's called EA Active More Workouts. All the workouts are on an island. Makes you want to go to the beach. LOL It has a lot of new exercies. Skipping, stride jumps, squash. Plus the ab workouts. It's a 6 week challenge instead of a 30 day one. So I believe there are 24 workouts instead of 20.

ARIES19CA. I didn't know there was an expansion pack. Where do you get that? I want more ab work.
Someone mentioned 40 day workout, how do you get to that? I'm hearing about a lot of things I did't know existed.

I started of doing the leg work on the 45 day challenge and my legs were very wobbly afterwards, now it has become easier. Same with the abs workouts now I do legs and abs on my days off with a little treadmill on my fourth week. The trainer can say "tomorrow we're going to work on strengthing your arms ect" but I still get lunges and running and lower body exercises more than anything else but this gets your legs and core body ready for the next phases. Like the abs start comming a little more each day. If you want to train on other body parts do them on your days off.

I am getting better at the reverse crunches but at first it was not a pretty sight. LOL I get a little light headed sometimes too with the stride jumps. Especially if I get a real good momentum going.

I think the Reverse Crunches could almost kill someone! I really struggle and it's kind of funny because regular crunches are my favorite type of exercise.

I also find myself feeling a little light-headed when I do the stride jumps but I'm only a beginner in easy mode on the 6-week challenge so I'm sure it will get easier.

Yes. There are ab workouts in the expansion pack. Curls, curls with punches, leg raises (brutal) and even more brutal reverse crunches. I am sweating buckets after the last two.

I do seem to get alot of leg work. The trainer can say "tomorrow we're gonna work on strengthing your arms blah blah" but I still get lunges and running and lower body exercises more than anything else. I wish there were some ab exercises, anyone know if there is in more workouts?

While we're on the subject of brutality, do it seem that AS do more leg work than anything else? I mean, when it says upper body, I expect a lot of upper body. But it seems I still get a lot of leg work.

I still find them brutal...5 challenges in. I sometimes put my back up against the wall when I squat. I still feel the burn in my thighs but I'm not completely ready to pass out. LOL

Mines was for 60 seconds and it hurt like hell. Pardon. 2 reps at that (not back to back). I had to come out of it and go back into it. Who would have thunk something like that could be so painful?

That's really hard! It made me hold it for 38 seconds. I did it but my legs felt like they were on fire. Do they increase the duration of the hold the further into the 30 day challenge you get? There's no way I can hold longer than that.
