I got some of the fast kick up to register today. Just about killed me, though. emoticon

I find the thing thats the hardest for me is my lunge jumps come in on day four of the week within my 6 week challange. By this time i'm heavy on my feet anyways and just not overly energetic to start with.
They are certainly effective though and so i push through them as best i can. Thinking of changing it about and doing that workout tomorrow and tomorrows work out on saturday instead of that one.
I don't like them but i figure if i persevere i will get there if i quit i never will.

The fast kick backs didn't register for me either, and i actually wasn't able to go any faster...i figure...well i'm doing it even if the game doesn't pick up on it so i'm not going to worry too much if it never truly picks up on them.

Last night the fast kick ups came on and it actually registered this time. LOL I was so nervous it wouldn't though. LOL

HAMMOD, me, too, I can't seem to do fast kick back fast enough to suit her that sadistic trainer.

Anyway, I've had two knee surgeries so I don't do anything that involves jumps or squats, except sometimes I do the in-line skating and most of the basketball.

I don't actually jump when I do the jump lunges. I just go from lunge to bring my knee up and it registers. I don't mind lunges, but I hate doing fast kick ups - for some reason it only registers them as slow kick ups. And in squash I have a hard time with it registering my lunges from side to side. I get so mad when the trainer tells you that you are doing something wrong and you are doing it right - several times! LOL

I hate the jump lunges. I skip that one. I live in an apt building as well and don't need everyone wondering what's going on.

LOL @ the explanation of your lunges. That's kinda what I looked like at the beginning. But now I don't dread them as much as my form has gotten better. I still don't like lunges but at least I don't weeble and wobble anymore.

I used to complain about the number of Lunges in general (in fact, my wife and I refer to the game as EA Active Lunges). Then I met the jump lunge. Now when I get any other kind, I'm thankful!

On a side note, I started a regular exercise program 6 weeks ago. My lunges started off looking like a drunk guy trying to pick up a coin off the ground, but afraid he's pants are going to split. I noticed today during my Active session that my lunge form has come a LONG way in 6 weeks.

Oh lord. Jump lunges and jump squats are just HORRIBLE. Especially because they seem to make you do jump squats, jump lunges, side to side lunges and then that stupid inline skating thing.. by the end I am just KILLED.

im sorry but i had to laugh at this one, not at you but i was remembering how tough it was for me and i so can relate. i feel like i am going to fall over when i have to do those. i have to hang on to my entertainment center so i dont fall over.

I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET!!!

Jump lunges and squats are evil!! I swear so much at my tv when those come up. They're incredibly difficult and painful. Fortunately, I haven't encountered them in More Workouts yet. Maybe that's why I like it better... :)

LOL My jump lunges and jump squats are hilarious. The jump squats, I am barely off the ground and the lunges, I am all over the place, my lunge is NOWHERE right but I am switching legs and jumping at least a little bit, I really lose my balance alot!

lol I think that's why they made the wii remotes more padded now. I had to do jump squats today. They were hard, but I atleast got through those. =p

They are a killer but just keep working and you will get a hang of it and your body will adjust. I didn't mind those too much but the ones that I still can't get right are the jump squats. I feel like throwing the remote at the tv sometimes when I do this exercise.

That's a really good idea, I hate skipping exercises. Since it's only a 30 minute workout I want to be able to give it my all. I'll definantly try that next time I get jump lunges. I haven't had the abdominal leg lifts yet but I'm glad you found a way to make it work for you. =)

Instead of skipping it, do it the way the EA ACtive Sports did it (similar but not the same). You first lunge with your right leg forward but then just lift that right knee up, do not try to jump. Unlike the first version, though, you do not alternate sides with each motion. SO just stick with it , but do not jump, just raise the leg, you are still getting 80% of the exercise.

I cannot do the abdominal leg lifts, due to back surgeries. I cannot physically lift my legs even a fraction of an inch. But rather than skip, I hold both remotes in my right hand so that I can simulate my leg straight out and I do a butt lift and hold it the entire time just moving the remotes up and down so it thinks I'm doing leg lifts. It gives me a good exercise and I can do it even though it is altered. Just think of ways to make the best of what is possible.

They can't seriously think that I'll be able to do jump lunges can they? I about killed my self trying to do just one. That's an insane exercise, I hate skipping it but that's one that I just can't do. I don't even think that at my goal weight I'll manage to pull those off lol Ugh.. so dissapointed that I had to skip them though.
