I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you. I am glad you had him cremated. Over the last 25yrs. plus we have had 7 furry kids cremated. Their containers line the two shelves on each side of our fireplace. ~+~ Blessings "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose."

It will get easier. I remember when my ferret first died I didn't know how I'd get through it. But day by day you do and time does make it more bearable. Also the support of the wonderful members of this team was so helpful!

I'm sorry to hear that Remy lost his battle. I know what a rough time it is but he will always live in your heart.

Praying for you as you adjust to life without Little Remy. Just remember that you loved him unconditionally and did all you could for him. Most of all as you think of him, don't only remember that he passed on to the Rainbow Bridge, remember also that he lived and that he gave you many precious memories!!

I just want to really thank you all for being so kind and supportive. It's been a very rough couple of days for me, and will be until I get used to him not being around. And you all are right, his happy memories are really helping me get through this-I keep see him hopping around in the living room, exploring every nook and cranny! The Rainbow Bridge just got a fabulous new resident :)

Remy does sound like he was able to spend the time that he had showering you with blessings. Please know that he was blessed to have been loved so well by you and your family. It is SO, SO hard in the beginning, but I do believe that recalling the happy times and finding joy in the memory of times shared truly helps our hearts to heal. He will have a place in your heart forever and always. I'll be praying for peace in your hearts as he is resting... Happy and healthy again... At the Rainbow Bridge.

I am so saddened to hear that Remy didn't make it. It brought tears to my eyes as I remember how sad it was when my ferret Bean didn't make it after surgery. We do our best for our beloved pets but sometimes it's just their time to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I hope happy memories will bring you comfort during this difficult time.

I am so saddened to hear this news but you did do all you could for him and I know he felt your love till the end. Little Remy is now with all our precious furbabies at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us. My heart goes out to you and I'm glad you are getting him cremated, I did that for both my last two pups. I have a special place for both of them.
Hugs. Sandi

Thank you all so much for your care and concern! Unfortunately, Remy took his last breath last night-I did everything I could to get him better, but his little body just couldn't take anymore.
My boyfriend and I took him back to the vet today to have him cremated. We go to pick up his remains this weekend. I'm just so very thankful that I got to spend his last hours with him, and hold him close to let him know how loved he was. I sure am missing my sweet little boy.

I am so sorry to hear about Remy. Let's just hope and pray that he doesn't have any cancer and that he will have a much longer time to be with you. Just love him and make him comfortable and we will be thinking of you both. Please keep us informed of his condition. We do care.

These God's creatures are truly our children and members of our family. Rest assured he knows how much you love him and, are doing for him. remember about the saying of what you do for the least of these..... I have held some very dear 'furry kids' as they left this life, and, I felt 'honored' to serve them that way. Everything you can do for him, will bring you comfort in the times ahead. I just joined the team because I need some positive energy coming my way for my rat, Remy. I took him to the vet yesterday morning after noticing how lethargic he was acting. He wouldn't get up when I opened his cage, and he wouldn't eat or drink anything for me. He acted very disoriented and like he could barely lift his little head. I got him into the vet within an hour of noticing his behavior, and the vet asked me to let him stay overnight at their "hospital". They took x-rays, did bloodwork, and pumped him full of fluids since he was dehydrated. I went in to visit him today, and was told that they believe he has osteoarthritis in his spine. This isn't curable, but with proper care we can delay the symptoms and prolong his life. On top of that, they noticed some strange areas on his x-rays that are either A. an infection, or B. cancer. Cancer. This BROKE my heart and I started sobbing in front of the doctor. The vet said that if it is cancer, it will spread quickly and eventually hit his brain-if it hasn't already. She suggested taking him home and administering his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds, and if he isn't any better within a week, to consider euthanization. I can't even fathom this. He is 1 1/2 years old, and seriously the light of my life. He is the sweetest, most playful little guy, and if anyone can send any positive thoughts our way, we would both really really appreciate it!!!
