Well since 21 Jul 13 I've lost close to 6 pds. This has been quite an accomplishment for me. I'm so glad that I've learned that Leptin Resistance was one of the areas that was really messing with my hormones and resulting stagnant weight loss. I went from a size 25 to a size 16 in two years. I was on a roll...and then my weight loss just STOPPED. I tried everything...cut the calories, worked out 7 days a week...nothing worked for 8 months. I then joined Spark and researched the available articles and found out about Leptin Resistance. I went through Menopause two years ago and my hormones were a mess....especially with this Resistance problem. It works folks--if you aren't losing weight, check for possible Leptin Resistance. You can get your doctor to check it out by a blood test...wow 8 months of trial and error...what a concept! Oh yah how it works--change your diet...limit your sugars, eat more protein, cut down on soda (whether it be diet or regular). To much sugar, increase in insulin, then triggers Leptin Resistance.
