"SUGAR IS THE DEVIL" - Just telling it like it is. When it comes to the hard truth about sugar, obesity, and disease, both the sugar industry and Harvard University have A LOT to answer for. Glad the facts now are pouring out. Get rid of added sugar and too many starchy carbs like they're the plague.

Excellent advice--just what I needed. I also am inspired by Joyce Meyers. I listen to her almost everyday on the podcasts I download from ITunes.

Keep an open mind and try new things...makes the journey more fun!

half a pound in one week is good and is also normal.

It took awhile to gain and now it will take awhile to lose.

Just concentrate on health and healthy eating and living and it makes this journey so much easier and fun.

Losing weight is not all about watching the numbers on the scale.

Losing weight incorporates so much more.

Like getting to know the inner you so much deeper and better with daily revelations of just what you are capable of doing and how to enjoy getting healthier by making a game of it.

I look at this season in my life like a puzzle and I am figuring out with each new day what works best for me and what doesn't and how I can blend into my life what does work so that it will be with me for the rest of my life and then I can keep adding new life style changes that will become like second nature to me just like when I was over eating and eating junk food and not exercising was like second nature to me now it is just the opposite.

Just don't ever give up or quit.

I've been doing a lot of research on menopause. I recently ran across some articles on Leptin resistance. Perhaps my hormonal imbalance might be related to my master hormone not working correctly. I've only been with SparkPeople a week and I weighed in a week ago. Today I reweighed in and lost half a pound, which is not a lot but I'll take it! Menopause definitely changes your body and mind. I'm going to make the best of this by thinking this experience as an opportunity to grow and learn from.

Keep an open mind and try new things...makes the journey more fun!
