For some reason SP decided to stop telling me when people post..... oh well

The magazine is www.cleaneatingmag.com/ . I live in Canada so it's a bit expensive for a subscription but sooooo worth it!!! The website has some recipes too!

Good ideas Mike. maybe you could even roll those bread bits flat with your rolling pin before toasting them in the oven to make flakes. I've never tried that but hey, it's an idea. Just don't over toast; watch carefully. Same with nuts and seeds; it doesn't take more than a very light roast to bring out that wonderful nutty flavor.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Hi could you make a sourdough or flat bread out of whole grain flour, vary the flour for the flavors, then make bits of the baked bread then toast them, toast seeds and nuts and dried fruit. as Ani said experiment

Maybe, this is just a suggestion, think about all the things you like in the store-bought cereal (crunch, flavor(s), texture(s) and then think about the possibility of putting together something like it yourself. Experiment. Then come back here and let us know how it's going and maybe we can all put our heads together to help you along. Great ideas happen this way!

If I could make cereal as yummy as Kashi Cinnamon Harvest I'd be all over it.

If you do find it, please share!

I think Kashi is pretty good. I like Kashi cereals -- I feel like they're 'real' cereals but I am sure you can find some to make yourself. I am with you, I prefer to make it myself!

Granola is good!!!

Thanks for the cookbook ideas! I will definitely check them out!

I'm looking for a cold cereal recipe. I make my own soy milk but I have yet to find any cold cereals that are clean. The closest I have found is Kashi. I'd rather just make my own though.

Tosca has a few cookbooks out there that are good. Check into Ellie Krieger as well, I like her's.

What kind of cereal are you looking for? Oatmeal is a very good choice you can do just about anything to it. I like to switch it up adding in strawberries, dried cherries, dried cranberries, almonds, walnuts, almond butter, peanut butter, maple syrup, ground flax, wheat germ... the list is endless with what you can do with it!

You can also home make granola and use that as a cold cereal.

Anyone have a clean breakfast cereal recipe? I found one before but can't find it now that I want it. Also, I get the Clean Eating Magazine and love the recipes... anyone know of a cookbook with only clean recipes? Thanks.
