Good Morning All,

I totally agree with walking/running being a stress reliever tool and a great way to vent anger. That is why I joined the Official SparkPeople's Virtual walk/run Challenge when it was offered in September, to help keep me motivated to keep walking as a prevention tool for stress. Little did I know Coach Nancy would ask me to take over the team. TALK ABOUT STRESS. We plot our walking on the Walk Across America Website and do weekly challenges that focus on all areas that affect our health and happiness (sleep, stress, nutrtion). I welcome any of you to join us - it is a perfect compliment to the great work Sheri does here and I sure could use the support and participation.

Have a great day all
Nancy

A good method of stress relief! I walk away from stressful situations too be they angry or just frantic so I don't get caught up in it or exhausted by it

I have a intense temper so I walk when I am upset.. I can rage out over what is getting at me, make sense of the situation and even find humility to a appology..
If people are over me like a rash, I just shut off..
I don't think I have ever done so much walking the past 2 years of my life..

If you aks ANY doctor what they think the best exercise is, at least 95% of them will say WALKING is the best thing you can do for your body and your heart. It lowers high blood pressure, cholesterol, stress levels, weight etc. There is no other exercise that works your body like walking. So if you are unable to do high impact aerobics like myself, walk, walk, walk.

Walked this morning for the first time in ages. It really did make me feel more wide awake.

Walking is a wonderful form of exercise and relaxation. I love to feel the air, all of the smells, and since I go in the evening, the sky changing colors. It is just so much fun to be outside walking the dog.

I don't walk my dogs, but I do walk the fields with my goats and sheep. Taking a stroll with them always relieves my stress. There is just something about spending time with animals that love us and we love.
